talk to kim and select studio management, and review resume, you need to recruit head of acquisitions,a black woman to make the film.
Where? I don't have any options with Kim at the office. I've gone through all the locations and I don't have any options to find a head of acquisitions.

I replayed an early save, I think the problem is you need to rise prestige to 30 to trigger event(buy bigger house and office)

My prestige is way higher than 30. I have the biggest "house" and I have every single car that was purchasable. My Funds is very high and I have a ton of money available. I did use a Save Editor to cheat in many things in the initial release. Did that break the game?

Maybe, in his other game it could happen that you missed important stuff, when you cheated to much and you got stuck at some point

I really hate these Seletacorp games, they are frustrating beyond all reason. You can see that under the soft locks, odd mechanics and frankly bizarre domination content there is a really good game trying to get out. But no, the protaganist always has to act as a amoral pimp, they offer freedom, but it's not real, the game could be done as a visual novel in Ren'Py, do things out of order, here comes a soft lock that you won't know that you have triggered or what you have missed out on.

I enjoyed Company Man, but it would have been so much better to focus on the office content, the content outside is universally awful, it feels rushed and tacted on. I suspect that this will go the same way.

Are you suggesting they should have a romance or good guy route? I would absolutely hate that personally. Too many games feel telling of the author. MC has Big Dick, washboard abs, and all the women worship them. Clearly written by someone not getting attention in high school and now trying to live out a life they didn't have, which is fine. It's escapism. But I find it much more interesting to play a game you absolutely can't live out in real life unless you are basically the devil. I'd rather play as a slimeball in a sense. If I have the option in a game like this, the MC is not going to be desirable. He's going to use blackmail manipulation and power to get who and where he wants. Now I do occasionally pull back a bit and keep a small morale compass because part of using those options is being able to use them on someone that deserves it occasionally. That means not always being the worst person in the game. Give me a bitch boss to take down and then humiliate. All of this is also escapism but not something I'd want to do in real life. I feel the happy nice guy thing is something you should want to and can do in real life. It's boring...

All that being said, I agree that the Selectacorp games are right on the edge of being good but they are assembly line games with minimal effort outside of some of the writing. Outside of the offices/studios there is a lot of busy work that could be more interesting. There's too much searching for what to do next. And the use of real porn is always disappointing for a game company that should be bringing in some money, but maybe not since their games are easy to access. But I'd love to see these games revisited and enhanced as apposed to pushing out the next bare minimum game. But no romance tag. If that tag is on a game you should only be allowed to hook up with one woman in the game.

Not really, more that i should be able to A. Choose the woman i want to focus on and B. Be able to reward her.

In Company Man you overhear a conversation with Debbie in which she is going to sabotage your career, so it makes sense for you to set her up and humiliate her (within the context of the game), but why keep kicking when she is down and proving useful. Why can't i keep the ladies for myself, why do i always have to pimp them out.

The real porn doesn't bother me and generally the scenes are picked well.

The other very frustrating element is the dialogue makes no sense, again with Debbie, you are offering a truce, then declaring her your rival, then giving her flowers then insulting her. It's like you are bipolar, hell if i was the Company i'd want you out as well.

Like i said, i enjoyed Company Man, didn't like the low effort content outside of the company area and always hate the soft locks.

Oh I definitely hate when you have to give them up. I think that is a real porn crutch though. They only have so many images of the model. So they move on. In Tinseltown they use ai to get around it a little but they do it with models like Reily Reid who is all over the internet. Makes no sense.

I believe the bipolar part is an issue with them allowing you to do things out of order too often. You can make a truce or whatever but because you haven't completed a different thread, you are bouncing back and forth in timeline. Once she is stuck with you though, I would agree that you should be able to treat her how you see fit.

I understand the code of not stealing ideas from other creators, but I wish someone would adapt a similar style and story arch for a game. This particular storyline is an obvious angle with a lot to build a game around. Obviously it has real world basis for existence, but almost no games use it's model. And I would welcome someone at the very least building an image mod to Selectacorp games after completion to make them more consistent at the very least. But again, unwritten rules and such. Obviously those get broken often though.

THIS. Thank you for articulating it.

I say something similar in my signature line here, along the lines of “I play games in order to do the wicked things I’d never do in real life.” I games I WANT the freedom to be selfish, to be cruel, to disregard the feelings of others, to treat people like objects. I HAVE love and connection in my real life, I don’t look for that in games.

I *have* considered what a romance route in a Selectacorp-style game would need to be like: she would need to be someone on your side FROM THE START, by her own volition. The catty female executives destroyed her career and humiliated her; she wants revenge; she realizes what you’re doing and says “Hi, I’m ___, and I love the way you’ve been taking these bitches down. How can I help?”
