But seriously, don't refrain from playing this game because of "violence" all of the routes are just so beatiful and there is lot of "cute" romantic shit that totally outshine the amount of violence depicted. The same can be said for every Nitro+ work, I highly recommend all of their VNs

I tried to play this game a couple of times before but the saves were completely busted for me, hence why I never went very far. I think it was a Win10 issue, because this game was made with older systems in mind.

This is an official re-release, unlike the fan translation. Haven't tested it, but I doubt it has those issues.

Yeah, from what I remember of it from years ago it's basically one of those seinen stories that are v. much edgier shounen battle manga - the only difference here being that all the homoeroticism inherent to those gets acted on because it's BL.

That said the BL is also fairly low key, it's mostly flirting or hyperdramatic rivalries (there was an all-ages patch to remove the few sex scenes after all), so if you just want an edgy battle-oriented visual novel it's decent at that, too.

Thanks! It makes everything a little bit more clear, thanks. I know the yaoi, para stuff, and furry (I like it sometimes like in 'Extracurricular activities", for example). People explained in other threads about why furry usually is linked with gay. And I was curious about the violence and gay games. I don't mind violence in movies, tv or games, honestly.

I am currently playing it on windows 10 so yeah, it doesn't have those issues anymore. It runs great.

Yes, like Zakkuri said, this is a re-realese with an official english translation so it works on Windows 10 now, and as far as i've seen, it has no issues.

Well if the Violence is not bad, then I will have to give this a go.

I was assuming that the violence was going to be more akin to 'Enzai'...

Enzai being a game that was a truly uncomfortable experience to me in all honesty on practically every level. And an uncomfortable subject matter to me for personal reasons.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a game that explores Trauma and its effects (Physical or Mental). Trauma of most kinds actually don't get represented much in practically any field. Saying this as someone who deals with that shit on a personal level.

But Guro type stuff and blood. Yeah, not a fan. It's great in a Quentin Tarantino movie, but not in my god-damned porno game!

Just stopping by to put my thoughts down JUST for pure fun sake because I just HAVE to speak about it somewhere, this game is CRAZY so far, I've been progressing slowly and I'm not too far in I'm pretty sure of, but it's just SO GOOD so far, and at the same time, I'm left with a strong apprehension about upcoming future events, I honestly feel like the wait was worth it, and even more, I'm glad I never took a turn at this prior to an official TL/release. LEGIT will be supporting this when I can!

EDIT(Post-Keisuke Route): WOW. THE PLOT POINTS WERE HONESTLY UNBELIEVABLE. I'm TOO curious for what lies in other routes because holy shit, maybe his happened to be the one that carried the more major plot points or something, but THIS SHIT WAS CRAZY! I HONESTLY FUCKING LOVE IT! But holy shit did things take so many turns..

EDIT(Post-everything): Just.. Read my review, going into this and WANTING this game, I had no idea what was waiting for me until I'd finally seen everything from beginning to end. Again just.. Read my review, I wrote it immediately once I finished the game, and wrote it while the feeling was fresh in my mind, heart and body. Maybe even my soul. Call me dramatic if you will, but it's truly how this game left me feeling.

Nope, this is an official english release. It's also got some engine updates compared to the original release, making it more "Modern" compatible.

I'm excited to finally play this in official English (I played the unofficial translation years and years ago and loved it). It's definately a gem, though I prefer Dramatical Murder and Sweet Pool. TnC is an important game for the BL genre but it's pretty rough around the edges, as it would be considering the year it came out.

Well, this never happened to me so i tried my best to replicate this to see what was the issue. I managed to do it when i opened the game from the shortcut that was created in my desktop and I got this error, is this what happened to you? I don't know what is the reason behind it but it doesn't happen if I open the game directly from the folder where I installed the game. Is this helpful? Using that certain shortcut was the only way I got that error, otherwise, I really have no idea. Can you try and see if opening it directly from the folder still gives you the error?

I started the game from the folder and it worked just fine. No error or anything For some reason, it doesn't like booting from the desktop shortcut. Weird.
Anyway, cheers. I'll enjoy playing this without having to fiddle with my locale.
