I followed the software instructions to put the vrm file under /Android /data/com.kouruo... /files/vrm, but either reboot or whatever, the vrrm model I downloaded doesn't appear.

I had some that wouldn't load and the issue seemed to be there were too many VRM models in the folder. If you've got others in there try deleting them to test the other one you've got. Possibly the size of the models as well - one I tried was like 100mb and needed all the 20mb ones deleted.

you are harshly judging something that you have demonstrated no understanding of lol. FIRST OF all VRM is a super advanced version of GLTF with humanoid features, animation retargeting built in, and the ability to store universal materials that work in anything. It can bundle totally generic GLTF without humanoid conversion if you wanted although it wouldnt work for animation stuff

SECOND OF ALL FBX is a trash closed source format that has terrible support unless you use Autodesk software and is also terrible for animation. Its only popualr because Autodesk has a grip on most triple A developers due to contracts and familiarity. But ue and unity can both take vrm

THIRD OF ALL conversion to VRM is dummy easy. search "game to vrm" on github and you'll find some scripts that extend the auto bone setup to work with basically all extracted unity and unreal models. It has built in support for mmd as well which is one of the biggest libraries of nsfw models. If you dont want to use blender theres a standalone tool pmx2vrm or pmx2vroid that can do mmd to vrm. Also the vrm tool can automate T posing so its very easy to just copy weights from another model. Also there are plenty of original adult vrm models around even on this site
Any chance you could do a bit of a tutorial? Where is the best place to get MMD and/or PMX models? I downloaded a pmx2vrm tool, had a search of the forum was for some MMD/PMX models and found some MMD collections, but the files seem to be VMD - so gathered I'm a bit out of my depth.

Ya just grab the plug in for an sfm model, or a use a blender file and export either in blender as a fbx model, then drag and drop the fbx into unity, and convert the fbx into vrm in unity. As for Raven, it was originally a mmd model. Most vrm models are just mmd models that people converted.

Also you can convert any model no matter the format into a vrm model, you just need to turn any Daz, sfm, blender, pmx, vam model into a fbx model in blender first. A lot of the time og blender and sfm files give me trouble because of how the bones and scripts are set up when you try to export them in blender. Fbx, Daz and Mmd models are so much easier to work with.

And like I said before, happy to convert models of your fav characters into workable vrm models.
Are you still taking requests? Any chance of doing Aunt Cass:

I tried converting a different blender model from Smutbase into VRM in blender and...it kind of worked but also will haunt my nightmares now as her mouth was chewing her face off and her arms imploding into her body :ROFLMAO:

It's always something, a lot of of time I had to take out the jaw bone, and look at the armature in unity. Sometimes there are extra set of bones you have to switch out and test in game to see what causes them to implode. Usually a weight painting issue.

As for requests, the game is an absolute mess, you can't add your own audio or animations and half of my models cant even work on the quest version so I gave up. Waiting for chatgpt to get smart enough to make my own version of the game.
