i can still remember that cheesy scene, where makoto cut herself in her finger and the MC instantly runs up to her with a dead serious face and takes her finger in his mouth, telling her afterwards that this action would stop the bleeding xD.Same artist from the same company.I recall thinking the exact the same thing back in the day, but Makoto (still remember her name, lol) is way better... for a number of reasons. She's the MC's coworker and the cook for Yamano Inn. I suppose that tells you how good the game was if I can still recall the proper names to things from this game, haha.

Y'know, if this game weren't from 2001 I'd be worried. Things seem almost a little too cheery but with little weird things sprinkled in (painter girl doesn't want you to come into her room, old coworker has weird habits of what stuff he works on, the outdoor bath makes weird noises at night)... If this were contemporary I'd be expecting a DDLC-style twist.

Blast from the past! Geez, these old games were pretty great back in the day and pretty sexy too. Weird how they're downright classy by today's standards, really.

So idk why, but CG are showing up only as black screens for me, can anyone help me with this? This game is so old that the computer I'm using should be more than capable of running it properly.
EDIT: Tried everything I could think of to fix the issue, google barely gave any answers except some guy saying he had a similar issue but fixed it on his own, something about the Dump files being bad.
Worse yet I went for a different version of the game and it just runs like laggy garbage on the title screen. Guess I won't play this until there's a solution lol.

Hmm, an interesting issue. I haven't tried the version here (nor will I return to play this game anytime soon), but I'd like to offer a suggestion nonetheless and see if it might work for you guys. I don't think y'all's issue with the game has anything to do with the images themselves so try the tool in the link below for the game:

(click me).It's very similar to the old AppLocale launcher application tool from way back in the day. I use LE myself for several programs that I occasionally have issues with on modern OS'es and it makes those programs run very smoothly without issues. Can't hurt to try. Let us know if it works out so that other F95ers might see the solution if they also ran into similar issues. Good luck!
Locale emulator doesn't help. Some CGs are not shown. Has anyone tried the 2 CD version someone posted on page 2?

Still has issues with a black screen on one of the first CGs (the Bath scene where Akatsuki lands on Takayuki and you see the trio naked). Bummer, I was looking forward to playing this, but oh well.

That's unfortunate you guys are running into issues with it. I've looked around for a solution but turned up empty. Perhaps try a different version? Like an ISO version where you need to mount the disc(s)? If I had an optical drive, then I'd make one for you guys from one of my hard copies, but they shouldn't be too hard to find. It's too bad the version here isn't working for you guys since it is a wonderful game.
