It’s early days for this game, but it’s a promising start. Everything looks pretty slick, including the racing elements that show up in the game (potentially taken from elsewhere, according to posters in the game thread). I like how, being a racing AVN, we do actually have a focus on the lifestyle around a young racing driver – talk of simulator runs, tours of the team facility, technical talk between the driver and his race engineer, etc. I think it works really well whilst still being accessible to all.

The ”adult” side of things aren’t yet present, although there are a couple of scenes with non-sexual nudity (e.g., changing, showering). The dev does say the game will feature a “fair amount” of sex, but it’s not the main focus. The other thing to note for the initial release (reviewed at 0.01a) is that there are no choices in the game as yet. This is something else the dev notes will come in future versions.

With that in mind, I would say this is a game I could enjoy quite a lot going forwards. There are a number of really attractive potential LIs, with Emma being particularly gorgeous. The one thing I will note, and it’s something the dev says was deliberate, is that the relationship with Emma is a bit misleading. She is the childhood best friend, but she comes across, until a certain point in the game, as a pre-existing girlfriend. At one point, she said something but wouldn’t continue at that time, and I was sure it was going to be a break-up talk. When it became clear that she wasn’t MC’s girlfriend then, I was confused and had to go to the game thread to check I hadn’t missed something.

The graphics in general are good, and the race animations integrated really well. The story feels pretty solid at the moment too, so it just remains to be seen how that will develop and how the choices will impact gameplay when they start to come in. I look forward to finding out.

I played the game, the story is good.Regarding emma i know it from the begining she is his best friend.Well in call with her mom she mentioned, but i feel there is a hidden attraction.
Dev said it will be not a harem game, well maybe but not in classic form.I wait to see the choices.

This is a game I was giving a second chance to – I tried it some time back and for reasons I can’t remember, I didn’t get on with it, but I tried it again on the recommendation of Lagunavii and I ended up quite enjoying it. It’s another one that isn’t my usual thing – I don’t tend to like superhero-type games – but it had enough to it to get me past that.

I recently played The Coven, and there are a lot of similarities actually, despite them being very different games in look and feel. Like The Coven, Origin Story has a school setting, an MC with a literal magic dick, a strange group of hotties whisking him away at various points… hell, both games even have a threesome involving just two people, with one of them duplicated.

The graphics here are pretty good and there are a number of really nice LIs who stand a little bit above the rest. Like many games, there are a couple of girls who I would probably rate higher if it wasn’t for a certain something about their look – here, as well as the usual massive chest tattoos that are likely to land a girl in this category, there are also some with supernaturally shining eyes that are just a bit too much for me (for the record, I thought Sapphire’s were actually fine, despite not being my thing normally, whereas Emerald’s were quite off-putting).

There are a lot of hot sex scenes here, and some options just make them even hotter for me – there are a few with an active-participant cuckquean, and even more that have optional lesbian interaction. I really liked Evelyn here, and found that any involvement she had in a sex scene elevated it at least a little, for story reasons that I won’t spoil here. I thought the superpowers were also well integrated into the sex scenes, but only where appropriate – I didn’t think it was done too often, or in anything resembling a crass way, both of which might be normal concerns I’d have.

The gameplay is pretty good, and although it’s tagged as a sandbox game, it’s what I’d call a “free-roam sandbox” – there’s no management aspect (of money, time, or anything else), but there are a couple of free roams where you pretty much cover everything and just have the choice of what order to do it in. There aren’t too many choices early on, but once the setup is out of the way, these do come in a bit more. Mostly, the choices are based on adding a girl to your list of conquests, although that’s not always immediately the case, with some of them being a bit more of a long-con, so to speak.

Overall, I thought it was quite an enjoyable game, and the superpowers did add some amusing moments and cool scenarios to help prevent this from becoming “just another college game”.

HAHAHAHAHA at the Amber Card! Genuine LOLs
I was considering doing it even before I saw her, but then I couldn't get an image that would work well anyway (best I had was the one I put in the spoiler, if I rotated it).

Got it. I'll wait for the next update anyhow - to play it for a decent amount of time, but still good to know the recent praise is well-earned.
Hope you get to Leaving DNA soon. There are two things I still find odd on this site - that you haven't played it, and that Milton hasn't played Unbroken. :p
I have bad news, please don't hate me

I played Leaving DNA over the last few days. I didn't like it. It started out okay, and I like how you get casual interactions that feel natural, but when they turn into five-minute chats on Marvel movies, or extended stories about peeing in a bear suit, I just lost interest. The overall story started to bore me because not enough happened that was interesting me. I don't mind a slow burn, but it's got to have something to carry you through it, and I didn't find that here.

yeah that is one of the problems with it there are parts that are boring especially in the first 2 updates. It really only gets good if you can get past the part of it that are boring and get into the mystery of the story. Tho I did like the Marvel chats I thought it was fun little moments with Jamie.

Tho I did think the last episode did pick up alot in terms of story but sadly it's one of those games I find myself having to replay it every update just to refresh my self cause I find the story quite forgettable expect for certain parts of it. Despite all of that I can't help but to rate it as my #1 Story focused game personally even with it's faults. But then again none of the story focused games I play are anything special they are just way above average. The only one I can think of that has a chance of beating it and taking #1 for me is The Missing Part. Which if I recall you didn't like either.

Yeah, The Missing Part wasn't for me. I had no interest in it after going through the prologue and opening chapter. I like a story-based game that can hit me in the feels, but that wasn't a hit in the feels, it was more an unprovoked punch.

To be honest, I think games like Intertwined, Chasing Sunsets, and Race of Life are the sort of thing I want that I would call story-based. They are a bit more free and loose with the lewds, but they wouldn't really work without the underlying story. I think they have a good balance where it doesn't feel like the lewds are there just for the sake of lewds, and the story isn't there just as an afterthought to take you from one lewd to the next.

Yeah I tend to have an odd view than most people when it comes to story honestly. I don't really count individual character arc's as story unless it's tied to the main plot point of the game. I see them more as a side quest and the main plot line as the main quest. So for me Intertwined barley has one and this is assuming you don't say tough luck to Erynn. I would agree with you on Race of life as it seems to have both slice of life and a main plot line. Can't recall Chasing Sunsets other than the romance story with Jaye I found the game's story with the with inheritance kind of boring and forgettable.

The Home of Pleasure by Whispering Eye Games

I’ll start off with a brutal truth here - this is a decent game with a real possibility of being ruined. I like the story and the characters, it’s got a nice “slice of life” feel with some good romance options and some lust, perversion, and corruption stats with the various girls. However, it also has, towards the tail end of the current story (reviewed at v0.2.3), a blackmail/drugs plotline that IMO threatens everything that has come before.

I’ve said before that not all games need conflict, and slice of life games are the very definition of games without real, noticeable conflict. Anything you get there usually comes in the form of emotional conflict (“do I want to give in to my desires,” etc.) rather than the stereotypical drugs/blackmail/prostitution ring stuff that some devs seem to think are necessary to drive a story onwards. Here, the inclusion of this new storyline has the potential to ruin what was otherwise a very enjoyable game. I understand that some complaints about this new direction have been made, and the dev may be looking at an option to avoid this, so I will reserve full judgement until the situation is clear.

For what we have at the moment though, excluding that particular part of the plot, I think the story is a nice one, and the characters are actually quite nicely suited to it. There is a bit of development with the main handful of girls (those living under the same roof) and that really helped me to build a soft spot for each of them, even though Sophie, for instance, would definitely not be to my usual taste.

I thought some of the added lust points were well done, with little (but blatantly obvious) glances at poorly hidden erections or various female body parts giving a clear indication as to why those points are being added. I like that there’s a stats screen that shows different character traits as well, and that these are unlocked as the game progresses and you learn more about the girls.

I thought the graphics were fine without being amazing, and the sex scenes likewise. Everyone is avoidable and there are plenty of chances to opt in or out of individual fetishes as they come up during gameplay. I normally don’t comment on the English unless it’s bad enough to impact enjoyment, but here it’s the opposite, with some nice little references and humour that I particularly enjoyed (such as the not-too-offensive insults the siblings trade – “cockwomble,” “dicklips”, “twatface,” “moose nipples”, etc.).

Overall, I enjoyed this game, and hope I can continue to do so with the resolution of the blackmail plotline…

Spoilers for those who haven't played the game: Beth, the estranged sister (depending on relationship selected) is randomly caught stealing from a clothes store that appears to be a money laundering front for a drugs business. A couple of thugs brought in by the member of staff blackmail you to either hand over a big chunk of cash, or do a drugs delivery for them (if trying to negotiate at a later point), or they will go destroy your family, beat you up, the usual stuff.

And I agree, it is weird for the plot of that particular game - it creates a complete tonal shift.

I read on the thread apparently the criminal stuff might be it's own branching choice in the next update or 2 assuming it's true and the dev doesn't go back on what he told someone in discord. Not sure how bad it is really because i'm behind by like 2 updates but from what i read sounds like it will ruin Beth's character.

Only marginally ruins Beth, but it depends on how you are with certain things. It's something that is completely out of the blue though, IMO (I put the details in spoilers a post or two ago). I saw the thing about maybe making it optional and I hope that's the case, as it is totally out of place for the game.

This is one of those nice little completed games that don’t take too long to finish, offer nothing too controversial, and have a good selection of scenes to them. I played through to the end in just a few hours, and there was enough to keep me interested in the writing, with a nice selection of LIs.

I think the overall story was a little basic for one that has multiple paths – everything is quite linear, with the majority of the LIs ending up in the same place, and although I didn’t play every available path, I didn’t see that there was much conflict between potential LIs, with one notable exception. This is something that would undoubtedly make it easier for the dev, but for me it makes the game a one-and-done – I don’t see the value in multiple playthroughs for the different paths unless there is a good degree of difference between them. Here, the replay gallery comes in useful to show you what you might otherwise miss, although it does of course exclude the story elements.

Although the graphics and animations were a little towards the lower end for this style, I don’t mind that, and some of my favourite games share this styling. The LIs did generally look great though, even if I sometimes struggled to find the best image for my cards as angles often made boobs (e.g., Stacey) or faces (e.g., Mary) look just a little off here and there.

I have another game from the dev in my list to try, and playing this one has done nothing to put me off that. This is definitely one to try if you’re looking for a relatively quick fix.

this game is marred by bad gameplay that made the alternate paths hard to reach sans walkthrough. But Stacey path in particular, with regards to the MC and Mary is memorable to me. I would say it's on par with Acting Lessons.

I just tried this, and yeah, the blackmail thing really killed the vibe, especially since the whole situation is so silly... :WaitWhat:

I'm really hoping it's got rid of in the next update, like comments in the game thread suggest - even if it's only a choice (although having it there if you choose it and not if you don't can only add dev time...). It totally doesn't fit the vibe of the game though, so I have no idea what the dev was thinking there!

Just for the record (and anyone using the search function at some later date), I tried Westview Academy again today. No matter how hard I want to, I just can't get into that game. It looks like it has some really beautiful women, and great overall renders, but the story and choices were just doing nothing for me, and I really hated the best friend. Having Jalen attend a different college in a completely different city would have improved the game massively just on its own.

I also tried The Last Challenge, which is one I'd been looking forward to eventually getting to. This one did not last long at all. The dialogue was so cringe-worthy that I really struggled with it, and a lot of the renders had really bad facial expressions on the characters too. I think I went through about 300 renders of some idiot trying to count raised hands in one scene, looking for a majority when every count was already over half of the voting number before being abandoned...

So that's two pretty meaty downloads knocked off the list in two days, taking me down to 235 in total (though it should be noted that not every game I try is on my list to start with).
