I don't care either. I mean, turning down freakin' Sage to get with Jill/Bella only to then fall to Bianca?..
Then again, what do I know, I've still not played S3. Waiting for it to be completed to carefully plan my playthrough ahead.
This is why multiple saves exist (y)

So here is my Top-10 AVN girls list, created in Tony's template he kindly provided, with some pictures being his originals.

  • There is next to no chance that Nora and Elspeth ever step down from being the Top-2, if only out of my habit and stubbornness. The other girls' positions aren't that safe, however.
  • In this iteration of the list, I demoted Laura and Kendra a bit. They used to be higher up.
  • Lisa from No More Money used to be on the list, but got removed in favour of Leslie.
  • Cassie is very likely to be replaced by Julia from Yesterday's Crossroads when that game gets its next Chapter.

Correct me if I’m wrong (I played the game a while ago, I'm not a fan of the super chad MC), but wasn’t Kendra the girl who automatically becomes your gf just by spotting her at the gym or something like that?

Both yes and no. Yes, that's her, and no, she never becomes your GF. Her and the MC get together a couple times and share a couple of kisses (I've heard some of that content is unavoidable, but I can't really tell as I obviously never turned her down), but then she puts things on a pause to care after her terminally ill father. As of the current content, they never had sex.

Yes, there is forced romance/kissing with her. That eases off after you can turn her down (But you still keep flirting with her).

My Brother’s Wife by Beanie Guy Studio

This is a game that really frustrates me (so sorry for the long review!). There are actually some really good elements to it that I like a lot, but there are some really bad bits too, and the frustrating thing is that many of those bad bits would be relatively easy to resolve. I’ll continue playing (for now at least) because of those good elements, and because some of the bad elements can be quickly and easily edited away before I start playing each new update…

I’ll start with the good. I like the premise, and I think the main LI, the brother’s wife (Jennifer) is really nice. She’s one of those characters who just seems to have a little something extra about her looks that just works for me – though it might be that a bit of the personality creeps in when I’m trying to judge solely based on looks here. Some of the other characters are very easy on the eye too, although there are also some who land at the other end of that scale for me.

In terms of the presumed end game (beginning a relationship with—or at least fucking—Jennifer), it’s very much a slow burn, but I think it’s done well. It manages to feel a bit more natural as there’s a gradual build-up with the two characters getting to know each other and then becoming more at ease with each other and slowly starting to tease, etc. I feel too many of these games jump too far too early, so I always appreciate it when one takes a slower approach, so long as it’s done in the right way. And in terms of the “blue balling”, there are other girls you can have scenes with, so it’s not just a case of waiting for something to happen with Jennifer.

Now for the bad… Although most of it is fine, some of the renders look terrible. This is mostly exterior settings, such as the front of the house, which are of a very low quality, although (thankfully) they don’t tend to come up too much. There are animations in the game, and they are typically looped, although there are some that definitely shouldn’t be looped – for instance, there’s a scene where Jennifer is getting out of the car and flashes her knickers, and it plays her moving her leg to get out, then it’s back in the car, then it’s moving again, and back again, and it looks ridiculous.

The gameplay generally goes well and there are plenty of choices, with definite differences depending on what you select, so you not only get two variations of some scenes, but can completely miss scenes because of certain “love” or “dom” levels. Although this can be good, here I would say it’s not always clear what the choices should reflect in that sense – what should essentially add or remove love points. Everything also seems to have both a positive and a negative, so you can be alone with Jennifer and if you make one choice it will give love points to her but also hate points to the brother, who isn’t there to find out about whatever’s going on. I just feel that the mechanics of the points system is a bit weird. Without looking at it in too much depth, I did notice that it appears to reset each day, so you build points and then depending on the end-of-day levels, you get the actual stat increases which then shape some of those paths as the game progresses. So definite good and bad points for the points system and choices…

Finally, there are two really easily fixed things that bugged me. One is the random inclusion, at the end of v0.11, of a poorly executed free roam in a bar. Getting this far through a game and then suddenly throwing in a free roam is bad enough, but throwing in a bad free roam is worse. And the second, but most annoying thing, is that the text is awful. The font for dialogue is Comic Sans, and some of the text colours are not the easiest to read. I edited these myself, but fortunately there’s an extension to the walkthrough mod for the game that sorts this out perfectly. The actual writing itself though is bad enough that I’d call it sloppy. The dialogue (and narration) is absolutely littered with typos, and while some typos are always to be expected, here there are just too many. And it’s not just the quantity of them, but that so many are so obvious that I just can’t see someone even with English as a second or third language missing them, so it suggests a lack of care in this area of the game’s production.

A very good summary from you. You've addressed all the points. This game has a lot more potential. Unfortunately, it's progressing very slowly.

Fustrating this one. The game deserves better, the potential on this one is huge, but too many amateur mistakes are costly... Maybe a few years ago a game of this quality could have passed, today though, poor quality is really noticeable. Real shame.

Hmmmm Incorect I am afraid, while I did read a fair bit of Manga and watch a little bit of what you could call "mainstream Anime" DBZ, Yugioh, Studio Ghibli stuff. I have not gone near the stuff since my teenage years

How to Fix the Future by mr.moonmi

This one started out quite nicely, with a Future Man (or for those old enough, The Last Starfighter) vibe – a young man becomes the first in the world to beat a mysterious game, and is immediately visited by a pair of agents from the future, who take him away as the “chosen one” who will save the world.

The visuals are great, and although I’d say the LIs are mostly average (for my tastes), there are a couple who are definitely above average, and when their looks were combined with their personalities, I really liked them. Sadly, the LIs I liked the most had slower-burning relationships, with one only managing a single sex scene, and that being a simulation. The majority of the sex scenes were with LIs I cared less for, and for whom the scenes offered a couple of variations depending on which side of the scale you prefer to experience your BDSM.

The UI was pretty neat, and I like the bio pages that you get for each character – although some minor characters didn’t get a profile, for whatever reason (when what felt like lesser characters did). There’s also a glossary and a “fetishes” panel in this info section, the latter of which gives toggles for certain content (trans, lesbian, watersports, sounding, cum eating, etc.) as well as which character path/s you are on. In the bio screens, some characters have “points” and “lust” counters, although I found the distribution of these to be a bit odd, with one main character only building a couple of points throughout my whole playthrough, despite me always choosing options that felt positive towards her.

I’d call some of the choices, or the outcome of those choices, quite odd. The main one that bugged me was in learning that a character is trans, and you get to say whether you’re into that or not. I have nothing against trans people, but I’m not into them romantically or sexually, but by choosing “not”, the MC’s reaction to the trans character (a teacher) was that of disgust, and when talking to the trans character, the MC often had thoughts saying how she was disgusting, was asking her if she liked penises, and was noted to be drawing penises on her assignments. I really didn’t like this approach, although it was eventually toned down.

The story is probably the main thing that lost me though. Although I said it started out quite nicely, I did lose interest something like halfway into the currently available content (reviewed at v0.4). There were some flashforwards that didn’t seem to fit the narrative, the whole relationship (whichever variant was chosen) with Octavia, the “present day” story with the MC’s mom and the news anchor, which felt like it was going nowhere and kept getting forgotten (although it wasn’t the important storyline). By the time I was coming to the end of the current content I was skipping much of it. I found I wasn’t really interested in how to fix the future, and the only thing I was interested in was whether I’d be able to make the threesome/throuple with Cathy and Chloe happen (spoiler: no, at least not yet).

I don't know why, but this sig image always catches my attention (she's too booby for my tastes, but the movement suggests fun and maybe funny). For those who have played it, will I a) love, b) hate, or c) be indifferent to Sexbot? (I know the image is for Recalibrated, but I would play the first game before the second, unless advised otherwise, for whatever reason.)

I would play the original SexBot before the recalibrated, as there are character back stories and events that get referenced in the second one that won't make much sense if you haven't played the first one.

I liked the original and the newer version. It's a time-loop story where you build points between each loop for the LIs which affects them the next time you loop through. There are some funny moments in it and the girls are pretty hot IMO. If you want something light to play it's a good choice.

I was imagining it would be something light, yes, and that's a bonus as that's sometimes what I'm in the mood for.

I think in this case, dev sacrificed the story in a favor of fetishes. The whole game feels like a collection of kinks. It's cool to have variety to appeal to different players, but when there's too much, it starts to hurt the plot. As a result, - characters felt lifeless, especially MC.

I kept playing for a while just for Cathy, but the whole love triangle mess was the final straw and I dropped it after the previous update I think.

Sometimes that's all you need from a game - I mostly prefer a working story though. I'll try it out at some point (since it's already on my list) and see how I find it.
