Yeah, the dev puts out like 3 images a month on his patreon Plus a load of extra stuff for holiday events. I get needing to have a draw to your patreon but I can’t help but feel they put way too much work into that side of stuff instead of working on the game itself.

Tower of Dreams - Chapter 4 (Part 1) Development Update & Teasers
Hello everyone. I'm here to update you on the development of Chapter 4-Part 1. I'm going to keep this post SFW to keep it accessible to everyone.
This chapter will be released in three parts, beginning with Part 1, in which Elyn (MC) and Irmine visit the previously mentioned village. There you will find some new characters as well as some familiar faces. To access the village, as well as new and old places, you'll be given a map of the area.
MAP
This is a map of the local area. For now, it includes your home, the Tower, and the village (the name of which you're gonna learn in the story). As you explore or learn about new places, more areas will be added. This mechanic will be pretty simple initially, but when more events are added, you'll have more points of interest to explore. There will also be smaller map-like mechanics in your home or village.
You might've noticed a new icon next to the Character Book. That's the Inventory.
INVENTORY
Here you'll find how much gold you have and some items you've picked up along the way. You can hover over them to learn more about them. Some future events might need you to have an item first before you can access it.
I also want to note that the Character Book and the Inventory will only be accessible outside of story moments from now on. That will clear up the screen a bit and make the events even more enjoyable. Don't worry though, there will be a lot of moments for you to take a peek at what you've unlocked.
Now, let's talk about the new characters.
NEW CHARACTERS
Three all new characters and one teased at the end of Chapter 3 are coming in the next update. Two of these characters will be a tease for something way bigger in the future. As for the other two, you'll see them in the village and beyond. Some other characters are coming in Chapter 4-Part 1, which aren't shown here, so be on the lookout.
More choices are also being added per feedback I received. There are even more choices in this part of the chapter than before. I'm planning on adding more throughout the game.
There are some fun scenes in this part and more are planned for the other two.
This is most of the stuff I can show without pushing the NSFW line. There will be more teasers later, of course. I'm not giving a release date until I'm 100% sure I can give you the update on the day I promise. Know that most of the update is done, and only a few renders need editing, as well as testing the later parts of the update.
If I forgot to mention anything, feel free to tell me, and I'll reply. If it's something big I can make a part 2 at a later date to discuss it fully. Thank you again for your patience and support.

Looking forward to the new releases, ToD is one of my faves.Stuff like an inventory doesn't bode well, that is a sign of shifting toward a more sandbox game, which mean moving toward a 'gameplay' likely for the sake of having less story, since virtually all those games are built in the optic of making players waste time with the so called gameplay so to necessitate less storytelling, which mean less work for them for a greater playtime so they can pretend even more to be doing something while doing nothing about developing their game.
The fact we are up to a year without update and their was an announcement for a 'part 1' mean the game is going to stall and provide a meager amount of actual progress while trying to make it look like its still in development to keep people paying them to not work on the game.

I hate this trend of splitting into multiple parts in episodic/chapter AVNs so much, especially when a lot of them are still in early development (IMO that means it has less than 5 chapters/episodes).

I'll never understand this passion to spoil all the sex scenes with a character by showing everything in dream scenes, but milking as much as possible the "real" one.

The next chapter is releasing in just a week. This will be Part 1 of Chapter 4, focusing on Elyn's(MC) morning activities and her trip to the village. There's also some stuff after her trip there. You'll meet new characters and see some usual faces. More teasers will be posted as we get closer to the release of Chapter 4-Part 1.

Daisy, the barmaid (Chapter 4 Part 1 - Teaser #4)
One of the new characters appearing in Chapter 4 is Daisy, who owns the recently opened tavern in the village. You'll quickly discover what kind of person she is when you visit her for a drink.
Patches and mods all go into the "game" folder, inside the "Tower of Dreams" folder.

I figured it out! i have vlc downloaded, so it was opening up as a video. I had to open it with windows file viewer to be able to put the patch in the game folder. Thank you
