From a story standpoint it would make sense that encountering Karen has scared him into this sudden change. I mean, out of all the wardens none of them were that kill happy or sadistic as her. Karen was the first of the wardens that he genuinely had to fear for his life while being completely powerless. The closest he may have come to dying was Khulan wanting to eat him after beating him up but even then when he begged for mercy she let him live.

Almost every update after Karen's floor, Ethan has drastically became more and more of a complete player insert. I mean before Karen I wouldn't say that Ethan was a particularly interesting protagonist but near the tail end of Karen's floor Ethan had a growth point that I kind of liked. it was like his character was finally going somewhere. But the second we get to Crow and Swan it immediately vanishes. I mean it is set up a bit to be more of an interval between 6F but I'd still say that there was a character to Ethan before the end of 6f's story that kind of poofs with the wind. He's more silent and the times when he does talk for one his portrait is nowhere in sight and it's usually set choices (nothing wrong with the addition of choices it just that it comes out of nowhere 6.5 floors in).

By the time we get to Jessica, these points become more apparent as while I see Jessica as a high tier warden gameplay wise her submission path felt weird due to some of the issues seen above. Then comes Iris where many of these problems becomes more noticeable since this is the first real floor since Karen. It shows a shift of how Boda does things now as everything after Karen feels like Boda's apple pie(side) games.

If I had to make a comparrison to anything it's like if you're watching a show where the MC is constantly experiencing growth but after a really great episode that shakes the MC and their dynamics with the world and other characters the show's writing goes back to square one (like in the pilot) come next episode and the MC loses any character he had (not developed but regressed into a block of wood) as if nothing Lore shattering just happened prior.

I mean I get what you mean, but porn games aren't known or played because of the writing (except text-based). The story is that Ethan needs to rescue his friends but that's just an excuse to get us in the tower. The story is basically just hot milfs stepping on us.

You have to take an IQ test, then pay for hellfire expansion and do a little bit of training.

Koda- Right, because the whole thread roasting you is totally a random and undeserved thing am I rite?! And not at all based on the long string of empty promises and delayed content, even tough the community was still supportive for the longest time until even the most staunch supporters started to see that it has gone beyond a point where those issues can no longer be excused by any sensible person, and therefore it's pretty clear that one of the duo of dev's is either delaying things on purpose to milk, or has no able time to dedicate to delivering things on a timelly manner and should therefore step down for someone who has that time? That would be the bare minimum of a show of respect to those who have supported the game from a long time...

But hey, on topic yeah those fixes for F8 are welcome so we'll see I guess when it's released if it's before or after F7 lol

Is this just a content-less fight at the moment? I found her floor recently, and fought her. Lost a few times, won a few times, examined everything in her room, and tried to delay/trigger everything that can happen in her fight... and so far it seems to just be a fight with some basic attacks... I've tried surrendering, losing to grab, losing to damage, winning, doing certain % of damage, but can't seem to trigger any additional content... any help?

iirc you have to actually lose. Surrendering doesn't do anything.

I disagree with that. While the images may come first, good dialogue and story is a close second. I mean, a good story is what makes the difference between looking at an image gallery vs getting immersed and getting invested in the characters we see. For example, we could type Lily's description into any image site to see hundreds of girls who with those traits but none of them would be Lily herself.

I have tried losing to her normally, both through damage and grabs, as well as surrendering, nothing changes... If there is more content, I'd love to hear from somone who knows how to unlock it...
