It's funny that it's so easy to just post the untranslated version of F10 with no further complications in regards to the wait time, and honestly I want someone to actually share the raw F10 standalone cause I'm beyond down bad for Lady Arachne.

Okay, since this is my fuck up, I should explain how it is that the game didn't come out on July 1 like I promised. It's better that you find out from me than distorted information that reaches you through other channels.

So, I've been invited as a 10F translator for quite some time now. We won't tell you why this happened, I think you already understand roughly enough. So:
- At the end of May, I received a repeated request for a translation. The problem was that I had very important things to do before June 15, so I gave myself a deadline of July 1, because I'm used to giving myself more time, I knew I'd make it.
- However, it turned out that my very important things were very boring and I started somewhere around May 25-26.
- On May 31 the work was almost completely ready, I translated and proofread the translation myself.
- On June 1, I posted the translation for playtesters. Thanks to Bo's thorough testing of the Chinese version, there weren't many problems.
- June 1 to June 6 was a detailed work on game bugs in the translation or just bugs (unfortunately, the July 1 date leaked into the public domain and became my actual deadline).
- On June 6, it became clear that one of the scenes needed to be reworked. Let me remind you that playtesters are not only those who test for bugs, but also the first players and reviewers. One of the scenes was very much requested to be redone. From that moment on, I realized that now my job is not only to translate, but also to make a new scene. I approached Koda to make a scene, because my own style of writing scenes doesn't fit TOT.
- Around the 15th-20th you could see that I had completely lost confidence that it would come out on time. Around the same time, work started to actively work with me to redo the scene (Koda does most of the work).

Now:

The scene script is ready. I transferred the script into code, and now it's left to decorate the scene with images and animations. The scene decoration is at least 50% ready. So I expect the finished work in about 2 weeks. But again, I can't speak for myself.

I apologize for the way things turned out.
How often do these "Playtesters" cause rewrites? I highly doubt this was an issue in early development. Are they the reason delays happen so often?

Translation - It wasn't until around the end of June when Koda decided to start doing his part. I've done my part, but they want to delay release under the premise of "decorating", so sorry gl next update (you already know what it is).

Why does playtesters demand scenes to be redone? I understand if said scene is full of bugs and is unplayable but if that is not the case, why give them so much power and why do they have shit months earlier than the rest of the community? That patreon is a fucking ripoffand not worth a single penny if they have hidden perks.
Well, that's the privilege of the playtesters, they trade the pleasure of the game for early access.
Secondly, they are ordinary players, and if it turned out that the majority is not satisfied, it means that the community will not be satisfied either. Moreover, the scene turned out to be not only bad, but in a way dangerous (I'll probably talk more about it after the release).

No, usually they just find bugs, but this seems to be the first time a scene needs to be completely redone. It's not their fault, they just test and give their opinion (far from always) and talk about bugs. They did their job correctly and there is no blame on them

hey this is already infinitely more responsible and sensitive than anything we've had from koda and also given in a more timely manner. don't beat yourself up too much, you've done more than enough for us even before joining up officially :)

And who can I trust to do that? I need someone with experience writing dialog for games, who fits the TOT, and who knows what to do with the story. I've deliberately taken the maximum on myself, but I can't just go and write something, or decorate something. Because it might come out even worse than it was
Thats crazy you're expected to write entire scenes :skull:, i didn't realize it was that bad. Your writing is amazing from what ive seen, but theres no way you should have to basically add writing to your unpaid intern position alongside everything else you do. Can't he find someone in the Discord? Theres a lot of game creators in there last time i checked, they could try the Fonexo (CoC or Tits) method of getting written scenes for these situations if its that bad.

that make a long time i didn't play tot, last time koda added crow i think, as i see their are many link to download and standalone, should i dl all, or the main game had the standalone in? can i run them together, with shared save? how that work?

I'm not sure, but from what i remember there was secret and some end game who lock the game and hide his content to player, there was a walktrought on a read note but not the best, full, or updated, so you had one or advice or anything else i'm taking.

When i'm writting that i'm still looking around the 2500 page of tot forum, i miss femdom game, waiting for katalyste, avoid playing japanese game with censored shrinked dick, and shit and blood is kinda long, so i'm "yeah thats make a long time now, maybe i should start tot again"

Ty for all

Actually i have to say, at least having someone replying and explaining whats happening is a big help, so thank tou for your work and taking the time to keep us involved, having understood that, do we have another deadline that we can look forward to or maybe another deadline?

yall ever considerd to simply not care?
it does wonders
It whas easy when Kaori could come out in decades and the other wardens would be fat hags. But now with the next one being Rose, Ethan's Martial Sister and Love and one of the few that supposed to care about him, it is hard not to care about it.

I mean, Koda has demonstrated none of those traits except the "experience" one, and only on a technicality.

If the scene was as unpleasant to play as the playtesters said, then shouldn't Bo Wei have rewritten it for you to retranslate?

In any case, I'm not blaming you or putting the fault on you, because that BS should never have been added to your responsibility lists last minute, but next time writing a scene is needed and the options are "ask Bo Wei", "ask Koda" and "ask random people on F95 if they know how to write that scene", then the "ask Koda" option shouldn't even be considered.

EDIT:

Does "writing dialog for games" mean having technical knowledge to make the dialog fit RPG maker? Or just being able to write dialog for porn games?

If it's the later then I'm sure a *lot* of fans would have been enthusiastically willing to give it a shot. At least I would be.
