Yep. Use the Cheat Rock. It's located almost directly south of the MC's house.

That let me reset Mary, but I dont see any code to change the MC name... or is there a different method to do that?

Yeah, that didn't seem to change anything, or at least it didn't prompt me to change anything unlike the other one which let me change the relationship with Mary

If you are trying to change the MC's name talk to the red bunny in the bunny manor. Choose the Nickname option.
ok, against my better judgement I decided to give this one a shot, but just like the other one I had tried it's a complete mystery what to do.
I told it to start from the start, but apart from getting the shovel, digging some rocks and getting inteligence raised (oh and finding 3 gold), that's all I seem to be able to do. (yes I went to see Minerva) Two women are standing at the top of the stars that lead to the rest of the village. The 'Guide' (also like the other one of these I had tried) does not seem to be use at all.
I just talked to the maid who told me to go t Raylene's but how do I get there with those two women blocking the stairs?

Just finish the quest you got from meeting Minerva (the Quest For Knowlegde), after doing the one with the Mary & the chickens. By the end of the day, three stats will be at lvl1. Then go to sleep (there's an event that triggers automatically late at night). Next morning the passage will be open.
anyone know the best/correct route for the 'Lust challenge'
I've tried a few times but can't work out which order the damned hearts appear, I assumed from the guide that they all appeared at the same time, but seems not (not the first time the guide has been too complicated or had not enough detail).
If no prefect route, is there a way to cheat this? (I hate mini games)

Err, there are multiple challenges, for each of the 6 main female characters. There are also a lot of other mini-games and puzzles. If that's not your cup of tea, I think this game will be a rather frustrating experience for you.
