Don did add minor characters from his other stories but I’m losing faith Neighborhood Encounter will be on par or better than Toxic Attraction. Don has the franchise problem now: not only he has to untangle his story knots, he now has to compete with all these fan theories and expectations (I do love reading them though, so keep it coming!)

My expectations is that it will be Lester who bails Dan out of jail. I always thought Dan-Lester relationship is too adversarial and it will be easy for Dan to pin his misfortunes on him. I would've liked to see Lester be occasionally fake nice to Dan, especially in front of Sarah, as a part of his manipulation. May be this time during their pillow talk (fingers crossed!) He might promise to help Dan with is job search(BS, obviously) and then he rushes to bail him out. When Dan returns and express we his doubts about Lester, he'll be facing pushback from her.

Yeah the inconsistency with Leader's physique is very obvious. Once I thought it might become a plot point like Lester taking supplements secretly, having a health emergency during one of his encounters with Sarah ( something minor, but he exaggerate s for his nefarious purposes) and guilt trips Sarah into taking care of him at her house/hospital or something like that. But the story has progressed so far away this.

For now, I just chalked it under suspension of disbelief.

My two cents worth of a prediction. Sarah will be fucked senseless. It may be just Lester or it may be Jesse and Lester. Also, don't forget that Ned is on the third floor. I bet Lester recorded everything that happened in hotel room and use it as blackmail. Lester plans to keep Sarah busy in that hotel bedroom until it’s time to return to Middleton for work. Don hasn’t revealed Lester‘s plan to us on how he will make Dan look feeble and weak in Sarah’s eyes, but Lester sure did target their finances . I’m sure Lester is quite aware of their financial predicament so stick Dan with paying the expensive meals and possible hotel rooms. Dan won’t be released on his own recognizance. He could receive other charges which could keep him jailed till court Monday morning if the hotel persists. One is the public intoxication charge but the DA could tack on disturbing the peace. Which could lead into possible jail time, fines and community service for Dan. I’m sure the bail and potential lawyer fees will be a unnecessary expense to their bank account, especially with Dan working under government contracts. Sarah will worry as their savings and checking account, house, car, kids’ private school tuition, and her comfortable lifestyle suffer. She already unhappy not being to buy new clothes or getting to spend what she wants. With Dan now stuck in Chicago until the trial date but I’m sure with Lester‘s impending move has will have a deal to relieve their financial burden of Dan being homeless.
