No offence, a question for some readers here:
What's so erotic, so tingly about it?
Do you getting a boner when you read that Sarah is getting one in the arse, one in the cunt and maybe a third in the mouth at the same time?
That she's being dragged like a cheap whore, - especially by such a shabby waste Lester - into deep crap and shit ...
What do you (you guys) like so much about this idea?
PC, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume this is a language/communication issue and that you aren't trying to attack anyone's personal views on the topic of what makes something erotic for them. Because that would be tantamount to kink shaming and it really has no place here. Even if I was able to articulate why I do, I have no interest in telling you why I find things erotic. I can speculate that for a great many people it can be a myriad of reasons why they do. It's taboo, its forbidden, it's something they can't imagine themselves doing but wish they could. It has always been more exciting to do something you're not supposed to, to do the risky thing instead of following the arbitrary laws of social norms. Why because it gets your heart racing, and the blood pumping, it's something primal and as long as it's between consenting adults and no one gets hurt, I don't have a problem with it.
I didn't say that I enjoy or wanted to see said acts--I simply pointed out some of the tropes of erotica that we haven't seen Sarah indulge in yet.
Fuck Lester and his disgusting face!
Hell, you (and some others) idolize him and almost get down on your knees in front of him...
I think you are being disingenuous and conflating hero worship with the fact that some of us understand Lester's role within the story. He is the snake in the garden of Eden, tempting Eve with worldly pleasures. Though it may be reprehensible his place in the story is a necessary evil or the story doesn't work.
The story has gone from being an ‘erotic-sharing relationship story’ to a perverted, sordid, hardcore filth riddled with lies and intrigue.
This story has never been a stag/vixen sharing story. DS told you that in the very first chapter. The story is about envy and dark desires. To quote a popular book "
Do not Thou shall not covet thy neighbors wife." It is the core principle behind each of the three MC's character motivations. Lester is envious of Dan, and covets his wife, because he's not supposed to be someone who should be able to get/have her. Sarah is envious of the freedom to act on her deep seated sexual urges, because she is married and social norms suggest she is a bad person because she desires unfettered sexual pleasure. Dan is a little more complicated (imo due to lack of character development) he started out as guilty of pride. He saw someone so beneath him that he taunted Lester with Sarah, exposing her charms to make Lester jealous/envious. However Dan got burned and has had to watch Sarah slowly being corrupted and now is envious of Lester's ability to sexually dominate his wife.
For the record I've consistently stated that the story doesn't work unless it's about the three MC's being at odds with each other.
... And many people enjoy it. I have nothing against it !!!
But for me, this idea (desire) is simply sickening !...
- PC
It's hard to understand the logic here--you say "I have nothing against it !!!" which suggests ambivalence, yet turn around and say "this idea (desire) is simply sickening !" which suggests your aren't ambivalent and that you find it abhorrent. Which is it, my friend? It can't be both. And for that matter, you still find yourself here, reading and commenting on the series. Maybe that's the real question that needs to be asked and let others enjoy the story for their own valid reasons.
PC I owe you an apology. I see now I overreacted to the last part. Initially I thought you meant the story as a whole not the particular sex acts. If I'm not in error again, you were saying that you had nothing against anyone who did enjoy those acts, but that for you they were simply sickening. Which is absolutely your right to feel that way.
I want you to know I respect and support your right to have a point of view and that you should be able to share it, just as I do for everyone else here.
Hope everyone has a Titillating Tuesday.
