Shelley being bipolar explains pretty much everything about her behaviour so far. That's a pain in the ass to have to deal with without meds in the best of times, sucks super hard in a zombie disaster. Also makes fucking her a bad idea if you're trying to get with anyone else, she can't be counted on to not blow up over something and spill. Unless you want more drama I guess.

your bets on who we will see in the next update
1) Peaceful people
2) Bandits
3) Psychos
There haven't been any bad people yet, only the burned ones. Though bipolar people not on their meds can be dangerous. Especially when they were taking meds and stop (whether by their own choice or not.)

I'd love to see some people who are currently turning INTO a burned one or seeing the process of how it happens. Would add a lot more spookiness.
That would be straight up horror if you consider the feeling and working of the fog. Not sure if I'm up for that kind of body horror, yet.

Everyone needs to be somewhat stable for that. Because that's the kind of shit that will put you straight to the edge.

Also +1 for Kallie is bae.

Perhaps if the MC saw it off camera, and discovered how it works.

We don't have to see it... and he's got 3 girls to console and comfort him, to get him over the trauma.

Looking at the achievements page, the next chapter might be it. Hardly seems it though - seems like there'd be pretty much to go.

When he was in an upper floor looking down after rescuing Laura, there was a burned one on the left and what looked like a mostly intact woman on the right. Looked like it was an early stage burned one, but nothing was mentioned about it yet. Yeah, this one:

Yeah I am pretty sure there was another silhouette looking like a woman when they were going back to the dorms on the streets.

I'm curious cause the first burned one we saw was a pretty much hulk, then when psycho break happens we seem to encounter a new one, It seemed different from the others and was also crouching, being stealthy, trying to surprise attack. And now we have this one. Could it be a new turn? OR could it possibly be an even more advanced one, One that can act human and lure people into the fog? That would be interesting. It almost seems like she's trying to gesture.

I saw it on the scene and he was talking about the people that were here before when it popped up so I wondered if it was more of a "visual flashback" kind of style, but when I saw the one to the left I was like hmm, i dont think that was the purpose anymore haha.

Also, I do wonder, is it really long expositions to the fog what it's turning people? If so, Laura is by far the one that has been exposed the most...
It could also be that some people have more predisposition to turn than others but If that was the case I feel we would have met more survivors, whatever it is it has a very high rate.

From what I gather water is the natural enemy to the 'fog', so I do wonder at times, if when they go out, they could splash themselves with water in the face and prevent themselves from taking too much damage. But yeah I'm getting the vibe that Laura might be a potential death flag, because she pushed herself too much, honestly thought it was even going to be this update. ILS coulda prepped us a bit last game with saying goodbye to the LI's :KEK:

But nah on a more serious note, I imagine it drains you because of all the burns and pain, which stops you from getting to safety, which then basically turns you from long-term exposure. I imagine laura's lungs will be forever fukt because they're basically burned on the inside, but idk its definitely a possibility that she could turn if her lungs consume too much of it, but its also a possibility that they only turn from being outside for several hours at once.

Reason we dont see many survivors is because like, think about how many places probably arent air-sealed, and the fog seeps in, then add in stuff like air conditioning, ventilation, windows, etc. That would all invade private areas, at first most people probably didn't even realize the air was toxic too, which is how it took most people out. But we do for sure know theres someone out there with a gun that we havent encountered. Which I hope will be the next character into the mix.

---on another note

I'm curious if sleeping with Shelley actually has any long term ramifications because theres a slight note from the MC saying "Should i stop this to see where things lead with Kallie" which is curious, usually these are harem games, it would suck to drop Shelley for Kallie but I'm def more a fan of Kallie thus far.

Well, I think if someone were to be not ok It would probably be Laura. Shelley seems ok with it, but with her mood swings makes me think she will be the one to spill the beans at some point while we are all together.

I would probably do the same honestly. Shelley is a stranger, i don't know her or trust her and pulling a wildcard into the drama will likely make things worse. If it was one of my bros, i'll be fine telling them i been tapping both asses. The women being married/engaged makes the whole affair more dangerous & risky. But bros know what to and not to do.

Besides, Shelley being a woman is another reason to keep things to myself. Women congregate and gossip. And she being a chatterbox, she'll likely be the one that sexpose me instead of the other 2 girls. Fortunately the ending scenes reveal her to be that "frat girl". She knows decorum, is understanding of the unconventional relationship with respect to the current predicament they're in and is willing to cover for us.

no idea either... my guess is he probably didn't want to spill the beans considering she knows at that point that both of them are either married or in a relationship.
I would imagine just cards close to chest, also, the girls may not want her to know so really there place to tell her.

Also, finally got around to trying to this after my disappointment with N&T which I think is hugely overrated and has more holes in it than swiss cheese. It's certainly a vast improvement currently.

Wildcard idea, but who says there has to be a rational explanation?

Hear me out. Kinderfeld has done two prior games, both were similar apocalypses. While Now & Then was more of a traditional classic Romero zombie apocalypse, The Interim Domain was decidedly not. It was all magic, moon-logic, and kooky meta-physics. So, who's to say that just because all we've seen so far is rather nondescript slices of recognizable normalcy that aligns with our reality (office complex, fast food restaurant, parking garage, college campus), that's all there is to it? What if instead of being a physical and natural phenomena, it is supernatural in nature? Not a physical contagion, but a magical one? What if this is all some Silent Hill shit, and both the fog and monsters are representations of someone's fractured psyche? We've had no hint yet of there being an unreliable narrator, especially since the perspective does jump between all of the characters. But maybe they're all trapped within a very deadly allegory, the fog and it's monsters metaphysical representations? Ironically perhaps even closer to Romero's original Dawn of the Dead zombies, who were representative of American consumerism culture.

It does have problems but even so it's the best zombie apocalypse game out there
