just gonna point out the obvious... but in a survival situation? shaving goes right down on a guys list of priorities... like, waaaay down. So 100% realistic. Water/Food, Shelter, Direction (where to go for better survival or access to improvements to priority list) generally tend to be the order of importance... however, with the games Fog being the way it is, Shelter actually takes top spot instead. Direction is also a constant concern when there is enemy combatants, as reconning your intended direction is a major consideration.
Throw in our natural instinct of protecting "our" group... yeah, MC here is running himself into the ground, and strangely, us guys are fine with this, as this has always been man's bread and butter... also the whole reason for the old "women and children first" mentality, as it is ensuring the survival of the group, the continuation of the "us". And yeah, we will make mistakes, our mental welfare goes out the window and we tend to return to our more basic side (thus the whole reason why in a survival situation, yeah, most guys are going to fuck if that's an option, gotta ensure the genes pass on) but that's just how we roll when shit hits the fan.

Spoken a skyrim immersive addict i just want to relate to the mc since I'm naming him after me...so he found all kinds of stuff but get a razor to shave? Really? U know when i go camping in the wilderness i go for a whole month and the most essential hygiene items are : razor , toothbrush, towels , toilet paper and deodorant...

A planned excursion into the wild... vs "Hey what the hell just happened out there?" level of preparation.
but yeah, hygiene is important, but lets sum up where the MC has been since the fog rolled in : workplace (likelihood of a razor there, low), office (lowish chance, but because of the gym and shower area, bump this to a medium chance), and finally a campus with dorms (actually really high chance)
frankly, MC has already mentioned food being an issue, shelter is still a priority, as where they were and where they are now is surrounded by burned ones, and the group is not in good condition physically or mentally... I think it can be safely assumed that the MC has greater concerns than a few weeks of not shaving (at least he has showered!)

It takes a max of 10 mins to shave a beard...but i get what u saying still the caveman look is not nice

Let's say that some things happen even when texts and dialogues don't tell.
Therefore I'm going to imply that characters eat and go potty (well, yes) without telling us.
AAAAAAAAAND I just want to imagine that our chicks - mostly since they still are in the campus dorm - shave their legs and arms when they're having showers.
Shaving their muffs? hopefully not, since I love bushes.
Our MC not shaving off his beard? well, that's not my problem: he'll shave when one of the chicks tells him his damn beard stings and she doesn't like it, I guess. Just like in real life.
More practically, the look is the dev's way of providing the typical faceless hentai protagonist. You pretty much never get a front on view of the MC's face in any of their games, and the long hair and beard further obscure it so side views can maintain that featureless void.

Have seen that only once in WVM...that be the dumbest shit i have seen so far to make the MC faceless

even if the MC is supposed to be an XP of the player, devs really don't have to make the MC's face a generic bald or black shadow. the hair and beard thing is probably a good way to handle.
plus, players will not throw a fit just because the MC doesn't look like them.

yeah I can feel for people with skin tone lol, I cant immerse with opposing skin tone at all, the face/hairstyle and all, aslong as MC isn't bald, I'm usually good with (hate bald MC's). Usually a nice tan skin tone is a good way to go since its covering alot of bases at once, atleast on non-anime games. Anime games none of us can really relate since its lack of realism
But i do think kinders approach is pretty neat with how he mostly tries to obscure the mc's face. Plus I actually am caveman IRL so I win

Probably something that the skin tone could pass for most (not all) ethnicities: a tanned caucasian, hispanic, middle eastern, light skinned african american/mixed race. Might have a hard time selling as Indian or asian but there's only so much stretching one skin tone can do...
