damn I think my theory about witchy being a possible patient 0 might be on point, or just a crazy mutant.

She legit shape shifted before blasting MC, interesting. When she got startled, shout out left for dead she completely changed forms. She looked completely human when approached. (well aside from super torn up clothes and tons of vein-like apparatuses throughout her skin.)
Also if anyone missed it, she has a collar on aswell :) Seems like a prison shackle type collar, not so much like an endearing accessory type.

Ofcourse a safe alternative is, the women just transform into witches, and the men into burned ones. No idea, but food for thought.

Yes I think you are right about the collar, it's seen more clearly in this wallpaper here:

Oh! boy, better seeing this than being blind, but i don't agree with you.
TID was and is a good VN in it's genre, so you might not like the genre, and it's ok, but you can't say it was dull, because i played it multiple of time and i didn't find it dull and i'm sure i'm not alone.
Dev lost a lot of patrons because of it. Enough said.

That poster apparently lived in the U.S.S.R. or something. In that context, maybe this is like a fairy prancing around a unicorn shooting rainbows from his horn in an enchanted forest. I mean, there are no lines for food here, so... bonus?
I've already explained my point.

Anyway, I'm from Northern Italy, therefore I'm very well acquainted with mist: I guess this is the reason why it doesn't make me bat an eyelid.

The first human - according to Christians.
And Jews and Muslims if you want to be precise... but yes, for purposes of this context it just means she doesn't know MC and has no reason to trust MC.

Oh fuck, these English communication peculiarities again.o_O
Honestly speaking, this is the first time I've seen something like this in AVN.
Tbh I also wasn't sure when I read that if it had a hidden meaning :p

tbf tho the interim domain was def outside ILS's style, and was a heavy god damn story lol. It wasn't up to their usual quality but I'd like to think if they wrote it how they likely intended, it would have been a lot, lot worse. Darker, more depressing, likely way more outrage due to potential character deaths, etc. It really felt like they were holding back with a lot of the story, especially the main bad guy and how the story plays out around him. He would have definitely caused a lot more damage, and likely tortured and killed people long before MC ever came close to them, based on his character.

That all being said, they make games with porn in them, and if interim domain was even the slightest bit more depressing it would have probably lost half its audience. Hell I loved it and I STILL havent finished it because it just made me so god damn sad at times lmao. I just dont think the intended audience is the audience that they currently cultivated, if that was a different demographic, maybe it would have been received better.

Like for example, Toxicity, Laura should, if not already have died (or even turned), but I imagine a lot of people would be real fucked off about that if it happened. I liked her at the start but shes grown increasingly intolerable as the story goes on, especially with bad decisions she makes herself. It would be great writing but, would have the opposite effect.

So, the million-dollar question: who the hell is ADAM??? Since you're discussing pointless things, I'll ask a serious question.
And given that, I'd definitely go for the gunshot.
What would be hilarious would be if the MC answered back, "That's me! I'm Adam." because that's what you named him. Would have been a nice little conditional to put into the game... even if it got him shot because garage-lady didn't have a sense of humor.

the full saying is "I dont you know from adam or eve" colloquial way to say "I dont know who you are/you're a complete stranger." Dont worry we struggle with other languages proverbs. We've adopted some like "give a man a fish, feed him for a day, teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime" or "fall down seven, get up eight" ones but some of them are WILD sounding especially translated. :KEK:

One AVN comes to mind that uses a lot of chinese proverbs and they always confuse the hell out of me in translation.

On an unrelated subject but in a way still in the names in the dialogue, I caught a render/dialogue that the dev forgot to put the string variable of our chosen MC name and appear John instead of the name I selected hehe at first I thought "Who the heck is John?" but then I remembered that is the default MC name hehe.

Well thanks to URM I changed every instance word on dialogues from John to the name I chose because annoyed me a bit lol ocd much. Just hope doesn't appear another character named John in the game or else the dialogues will get very weird .

I forgot to take the screenshot of the dialogue but I trust that it was already was reported by one of their subscribers or someone in their discord server.

Your guess is as good as mine. We probably won't find out until near the end of the game.

Didn't someone point out that there was a TV announcement very early in the game (before the fog rolled in) of a burial site discovery? Something like that. It could well be a supercharged Poltergeist movie situation, only with real monsters instead of ghosts.

Or it could be some kind of inter-dimensional rupture.

In the movie, The Mist, we never did find out what had caused all the monsters to appear. The mist just dissipated and the army moved in. That could happen here too, but I don't really believe that.

Anyone ever read the Dean Koonz novel, Midnight? That involved a scientific experiment gone terribly wrong. That could well be what happened here.

There are a couple of possibilities. Anyone here could suggest a cause and remedy. Posters should give it a try.
I mean whoever caused it (or whatever) might be the most dangerous.

potential character deaths,
Heck, there's a reasonable sense in which you could say they all died. Even Mira recognizes this, if you go through her ending (which I won't say was my favorite, but all the others kind of leave you feeling you should have picked her).

I really liked TID, but it's hard to compare it against N&T or this one, because it's so different. It has a much larger cast, which I think it needs (its story just wouldn't work as well, IMO, limited to the six people you deal with in N&T). It's a sandbox game, of course. You're dealing with the literal end of the world, where every human being on earth (except for a handful of you) has just died, and you'll be there for the deaths of a dozen or so others, after you've come to know and love them. It's a dark story as it is, and as you say, it could easily have gotten a whole lot darker.

But dev has a theme here, and damned if he isn't consistent with it. Everyone needs to learn to let go: the LIs (that's what MC's there for), MC (which is why the Allison ending is objectively the wrong choice), and even the player.

And I guess it's a feature of your job with the LIs, but I ended up getting really attached to them (except Natalie, a rare exception to my "looks don't matter" rule* for AVN LIs). I felt for them much more than I do for anyone in N&T (where, admittedly, I'm not quite finished--I'm in Ch. 22), and certainly more than anyone in TOXICity (where I think it's just too early to be that attached to anyone). Their individual solo endings pretty well cured me of a desire for a harem ending--they were emotionally satisfying in a way I just don't think a harem ending could be (and though I can see a few obvious throuples, I'd question whether even those would feel the same way).

And, of course, you don't have the "MC is an idiot" issue.

*A LI's looks are rarely a major factor in how much I like her--largely, I think, because I'd put just about any LI in just about any AVN I've played at least at 8/10. But Natalie's looks just didn't do anything for me. It didn't help that we didn't get much time with her.

Appeal to Popularity isn't the argument you think it is...

A lot of people liked N&T, but didn't like TID, purely because there was no incest. Or because everyone was already dead, and therefore 'everything was meaningless'. In general, the opinion of the crowd is not a good barometer for quality.

As often turns out to be the case, many of you mainland Europeans lack a sense of sarcasm and so can't tell that I was joking. Thanks for the unnecessary clarification that you weren't from Soviet-era Russia. I never actually thought you were.

Still a chance that garage girl is MCs ex. Thats may be why she let them go (without looting them - she could have demanded them to give up their backpacks for example...) and even helped them...
