You just, copy your saves, put them in a different folder for safe keeping, and when there is finally an update to this game then you can put your saves into the update save folder (provided no important system is changed that fucks with the save files)

It's a rough automatic translation, so it's kinda unavoidable. Also Katieve (the chubby boy) is more times than not called 'girl' too.
Translating japanese is weird...
