You probably have to use Locale Emulator. Some games will display gibberish if it isn't running in a Japanese locale.

You probably have to use Locale Emulator. Some games will display gibberish if it isn't running in a Japanese locale.

And usually it's because the game can't read files with corrupted name.
Using emulator or switching to JP local unicode can only solve the problem if the files name are OK. Else you'll have to re download the whole game and extract it using JP setting.
