When I try to run any version, I get a system error that says the game code could not be executed because certain files could not be found.

You need to install ms visual v++ redistributables. There are a bunch of them which you can find on microsoft site. And most likely you are missing old versions like 2010, 2012, 2013

huh, for some reason dancer works for me on my steamdeck, but not diva. cant seem to find a fix, even tried a package to get games with Japanese locals to work. The other games i've found and dancer work without problem. so i dont think its that.
