so idk if i did something wrong but im unable to interact with the menu. the icons are completely blank and i cant get into the game at all.

Did you use Locale Emulator? It can cause menu issues with Unity games, and you don't need it. Unity games not being in the screen resolution they want can also cause thing similar things.

I dont believe so I just opened the game file normally(doubleclicking), i was able to run the game fine with it untranslated. it was when i used the patch that this problem occurred. do you have a recommendation on an alternative way to run the game? or perhaps i downloaded the wrong reipatcher file? i downloaded the XUnity.AutoTranslator-ReiPatcher-4.11.1 file from the link.

It has the translation up to the end of the intro saved. If it doesn't work after that maybe it's being blocked from accessing the internet, and thats stopping the menu working. Otherwise not sure.

This works! i think it was the smart screen messing things up so i just disconnected and it sorted itself out. I appreciate the help!

You have to save before.
Right click while playing, then on the left border of the screen there is the save option. It's pretty hidden..
Once u saved it creates the new folder with saves.
