I got the same error when messing around with the encryption key at the end of ~/data/System.json. You could try grabbing the encryption key from your raw file, applying the patch, then replacing the key in the new System.json with the key from the old one. If you don't have the original data files anymore then you may be able to use Petschkos RPG-Maker Decrypter to get the encryption key from an image and stick that in the patch's System.json.

No images are included. If I'm reading the patch notes right then the patches are all operational and bug fixes, so every version of the game should already have all the images and music you need. "
