When you are doing an action, click the middle button of the mouse, and the action will be performed automatically. Then you can do other actions.
In other words, you can perform multiple actions at the same time.

I did that which is how I got to level 9 in the first place but the nervous gauge move SUPER slowly.....I even bought all the items in the shop so far and it didn't help a single bit.

Tried doing what some Japanese guide is saying but I still can't clear the first gauge....
