The translation works only on the DLSite (paid) version of the game... at least I did not get it to work with any other version. But it is serviceable. The MTL is decent, the only things that are confusing are mixed pronouns (she instead of he etc.) and random characters in the text sometimes. But it conveys the story well and there is no poetry really.

For Aishiteru 2, it seems to work on any downloadable version and is much more cleaned up. Very good MTL translation.

Yes, it requires installation and the english translation file unless you speak Japanese (which only works with the DLSite version of the game).
