i get a bug in the green crystal at the water floor. when you turn left to meet the big slime it crashes the game for me

your issue could be with files missing related to the picture that should pop at that moment but due to wrong language extraction from the rar file it corrupted the japanese image files resulting into unreadable files
in order to fix that you need to change system locales from english to japanese
- first backup your save first
- go to "Control Panel from startmenu in your windows
- Change the option "view by" to small
- go to "region" and click on it
- in region,go to administrative section and pick "Change system locale..."
- Change your "Current system locale" to "Japanese" and hit ok
- click on apply then ok, a window should pop up asking you to restart so changes be applied
- Restart then re-extract the game once again and put your save on the new extracted folder
it should fixes your issue because i just reached the slime scene and didn't crash at all

Much like the other guy, no matter my system locale, no matter what encoding I use to extract the game, I have the same error and can't get past that bit with the slime.

it's locales, the game's files in japanese, extracting them on english locales turn the japanese named files into unreadable language, i reached that exact spot and didn't face any error facing that boss
I'm really not sure what the deal is tbh, this is far from my first RPG Maker game and I've had similar errors before that I fixed by just doing the thing and changing the locale, using a locale emulator, etc, but for some reason this time nothing is working.
Not blaming you or anything, just really don't know what the problem is. Might be that the saves are borked because I didn't have the right locale to begin with (I was using locale emulator, but didn't actually change the region because it's usually fine)? I could test but it's kind of a pain to play the whole way here just to find out.
