I think it should be up to the individual JoiPlay users to go and search for a solution. I always get the latest version of the app and its plugins - especially the RPGM one - and the translated versions we have here run absolutely fine
How far is the most recent public translation and can saves be transferred over? If it's translated enough to learn the game I can just grind till the new update is out.

Saves can be transferred over (though there are some odd translation stuff that gets stuck between old saves and new translations).
The most recent public translation has everything translated up to the third boss.
The game will have everything encounterable in the main story fully translated by next week though, so you may want to hold back until then.
Next week.... yeah I guess I can do that lol thanks for your work so far. Are the menus and such translated? I have no clue what Im doing, why everyone is pregnant and so forth haha.

You might be thinking of the first game, Vitamin Quest. That one was released in... 2014? 2015? Somewhere around there.

Maybe, though I wasn't all that into Vitamin Quest 1 to be honest. Did this come out in Early Access, maybe?

There was a demo of it a decent while before the 1.0 of the actual game came out. Is that what you're thinking about?

Anything in the realm of "modding" the game is not my forte, so unfortunately not. Uncensored patches, costumes, different control layouts, or anything that modifies the game beyond translating purposes won't be included.
When I translate I keep the game as close to the original as possible; the only exceptions are game-breaking bugs or visuals that hinder scenes, such as overlapping sprites.

Well the update to the fourth part is coming out tomorrow and I finished making the final preparations just now, so I'd say the month's doing pretty good.
Hopefully it's an option for you to chomp at some bits.

Hi there.
Below is Part 4 of my translation for Vitamin Quest 2nd Attract. This is a near-complete translation of the game’s main story. This means that all scenes, dialogue, menus, and interactions are fully translated before the final boss.
This is not a complete translation, so please do not upload this elsewhere as the full game – images included – have not been translated.
A few things to take note of when playing this translation:
1. Please support Butakoma300g by buying the original game. Not only is it very cheap on DLsite, it is an amazing game that deserves recognition for the sheer amount of love put into it.
2. This is a fan translation that is currently in progress. I have no affiliation with Butakoma300g or any of his works. I do not claim ownership of any materials, characters, or dialogue used in this translation, as they are all his. While I have translated all necessary images to English, I do not own any of the source material. All I worked on was the edits, and the translation itself. I am just a fan who enjoys this game and the work put into this.
3. If you have played a previous translation of Vitamin Quest 1, be aware that it was translated by a different person, and therefore our translations of different terms, characters, and places can be different. For example, the name of one character in my translation is Nelpura; in Vitamin Quest 1, her name was Nerupura. Another character’s name in my translation is Dablo; in Vitamin Quest his name was Daburo.
Apologies in advance to any long-time Vitamin Quest fans if there is some dissonance in the
translations.
4. If you had any previous saves, you can transfer them into the new folder without any problems.
5. I have uploaded a full walkthrough of the game up to the final boss of the main story as a separate document both here and on Discord. It includes information such as:
On Mikami’s side:
- A full comprehensive tag list from F95, as well as general tags not included from F95.
- Requirements for ALL currently translated sex scenes, whether it be defeat scenes, Casual Sex scenes, or NPC sex scenes.
- A mini-walkthrough of how to progress through the story on Mikami’s side.
- Unlockable NPCs through sex/birthing, such as Mikami’s children.
- Information on bosses, such as their skillset, HP, and unique abilities.
- A list of unlockable items, skills, and useful abilities throughout the game.
- A detailed breakdown of the different conversations you can encounter with some of the side characters in the game
On Rai’s side:
- Detailed sections on how to efficiently play his side of the game, such as making money, gaining EXP, etc.
- Gifts and the specific details of how they’re classified.
- A comprehensive list of common prostitutes, their locations, portraits, prostitute color, and combat level.
- A comprehensive list of how natures work, including which natures result in which conversations.
- A detailed look at each unique prostitute, such as a summary of their personality, images of what they look like, and what gifts they like and dislike.
- A detailed breakdown of the different conversations you can encounter with the unique prostitutes in the game.
- A detailed explanation of the lover system and how to rescout prostitutes
- A list of unlockable skills throughout the game.
6. I would like to ask anyone who would like to help find any errors, bugs, or untranslated dialogue so that I can improve this translation to the best of my ability. If you would like to contribute, I have a discord server for this specific purpose. I will only be looking at content from before the final boss of the main story. Anything else will not be considered. Here are a few things to note when playing this game:
- Having too much sex on Mikami’s side, or making too many reservations on Rai’s side can result in your game progressing further into the story than I have translated. If you encounter large spots of untranslated dialogue, this may be an explanation as to why.
- Please be aware that names in particular may be untranslated if you are using an old save file (particularly when getting pregnant/giving birth to strangers on Mikami’s side). This is something I cannot change, as it is due to how the game was implemented. The only way to solve this problem is to start with a game file after the most recent translation, or to start from scratch.
- The following scenes are not translated on Mikami’s side, but will be translated in the next part:
- Massage Sex 3, Massage Service 3, Massage CS 3
- MiNel 2 (Leonard), MiPeri 2 (Norris), MiPyura 2 (Tokuemon)
- Because there are some images I haven’t encountered on Rai’s side, I won’t know the context as to what information they’re trying to convey. If you find an image on Rai’s side that isn’t translated, please take a screenshot of it and describe the circumstances as to how you found it.
Here is a rundown of what my timeline will look like of all VQ2-related content:
To prevent spoilers, I have abbreviated the necessary breakpoints down below.
First, I plan to translate all content accessible until you reach LV: L. This includes all sex scenes and interactions before getting to this point. This unfortunately means that a lot of the huge changes to Rai’s part will be left for Part 6. This also means that Mikami’s story will not be finished until Part 6, as it requires the player to be at LV: L.
After that I will translate all content during LV: L and LV: F. Depending on how long the additional content is, I may also translate that as well; if it’s big enough, I will make it its own separate part.
After VQ2 is done, I will focus on two “DLCs”; this is the NTR Prostitute DLC, and the demo. There is a recollection room for the standard prostitute interactions, but since these are copied over from the base game they’ll be easy to port over.
After that’s done, bonus CGs. There’s one for each unique prostitute so there’s about 17, plus one for each demon girl and a few with Mikami. There’s also NTR versions of most of them, those will also be translated.
And finally, there’s a novel Buta is promoting made by a third party about Rai’s interactions with different prostitutes that I might try to go for. It’s cute, and if you have a translator on you I recommend reading through it.
Down below is a few documents, such as what has been Proofread, the sex scene Checklist, the Translation notes, and the Walkthrough of everything you can encounter on your way to the final boss of the main story.
