So I used the crack to bypass the "Play DRM" stuff to get to the game. But the game "begins" by first taking you to a monitor settings window, telling you to click on the buttons/thumbnails to set up the game. However, there are no buttons or thumbnails to click on in the window. It's just says 'Monitor Settings' with everything else blank and nothing to click on (the 'Monitor Settings' isn't a button either). I can't actually start the game past this set-up screen as it's stuck there with nothing to click on.

Hey Ladifour94, I and the other fans of this game on F95zone would just like an update. First, how are you after the traumatic event? I know from personal experience that grief and mourning are not easy, but to also be put in charge of picking up the pieces of someone's life and ordered to arrange them in terms of organising two funerals almost back-to-back and all kinds of legal/administrative stuff and organising the personal belongings and houses, like you said, the mental strain must have been tough. So secondly, all we ask is a little update post saying if the translation of the game is still on hold or if you are discontinuing it while you deal with the shit hand that life dealt you, and if you are still working on it, maybe an updated progress table chart of the scenes list, please.

First, and probably the most important of all, I still wish to continue with the fan translation, and I do not intend to drop it. Not after coming this far with it and having the hopes of that many people up.
At the current moment my life is more or less back to normal, but I must admit that pulling myself together took me significantly more time than I would have thought/hoped. Having my lecturer job actually helped me out a huge deal, since I had to basically pull myself together so that I could create the exam papers for the sutdents, carry the exams and grade them all.
I must apologize to all of you guys for leaving you hanging like that for so long. I might have been going through a lot, but I guess that this is no excuse for going completely dark with no explanation/update of any kind.
I intend to post another table update before the end of the month, and then I want to use the summer time to make up for the lost progress.
Also, while I am being at it, would you perhaps know someone who might have access to the script text for the Dark Elves? Since I want to tackle their routes after dealing with the Common Route.
And sorry if this message sounds kind of disjointed and all over the place.

No need to apologize. I just thought that I might ask, since it doesn't hurt to do so.
And when it comes to projects such as this one, I do beleive that transparency is really important. After all, I am doing this for the fellow fans, so you deserve to know what's going on.
That being said, once I get the Common Route done, I would like to ask you guys from around here to lend me a hand with checking if my translation is going to be coherent. Though it pains me to admit this, English is not my mother language, so there might be things and nuances that I am simply going to be unable to detect/things that might not sound weird to me. So that would be a huge help.

By the sounds of it, what's up in that thread is one of the old MTL patches that popped up ages ago, which is of low quality and all that jazz. So no. It's not done. It's not over.

Hey, Professor, just found some news you might be interested in. The F95zone user Æяiк has just posted a translated version of youkoso! Sukebe Elf no Mori e on F95zone, but if you look at the comments, it's apparently a lazy and bad A.I English translation with tonnes of game bugs, so your real-person translation is still very much wanted by the fans, and if you reach out to the user, you might be able to get those game files you wanted.

That'd be more akin to upgrading(?) the art. An MTL is more like replacing the steering wheel with a dildo.
