Just to chime in - yes the forest is a pure stat check. I am in the process of reworking exactly how challenges work, so if you are under the influence of the cursed heads, this challenge may be more difficult than usual. Try resolving that plotline first and also using the bruxas to gain an advantage in challenge checks.

I really dislike the save system on this game. I accidentally clicked the "load quicksave" instead of actually saving, and it took me back close to three hours of gameplay. That is a real game-breaking feature for me, instantly makes me want to not play the game ever again.

You can make such mistake literally in every game that has quick save/load. Just use regular saves, you can find codes in this thread or subscribe to patreon.

Always make sure that you Save your progress and that you do it often.

Any game worth their salt provides an way to actually save the progress in other ways than quick save and quick load. Yeah I'm going to read every 10004 posts on every game's board JUST IN CASE there are some codes which enable the saving. If there are such codes they should be provided on the front page, not hidden into somewhere. Patreon content is not free either.

You need to do into the crypt in the cemetery, after having ran out totally of bracelet charges for someone/something to contact you and ask you down there.
Ask Felicia how to get past the beasties there after the first time.
