they dont get most of that between state taxes federal taxes and patreon fees. Just saying.
Because there is more than one issue and all the issues are complex, both TriangleMayn
and moobere have valid points and perspectives.
Example: Let's assume the
basic income after all taxes & fees is 1/8 of the total or US$4,000 per month. I suspect we all could agree that any 2 to 4 people (or more!) in the world could live comfortably on that.
And because the taxes
already paid include support of basic water, sewer, roads, education, public health, & etc. of their community(ies) these people are solid citizens. Meanwhile, there are many, many entities (mostly corporations
and the people that own them) that thoroughly use and rely on those basic services that taxes pay for (above), but
do no pay any taxes or minimal taxes anywhere at any time. Furthermore, if there was some manipulation of country of origin, revenue numbers, politics, and/or public relations to allow these entities to pay less, then they would automatically perform those manipulations
entirely for their own benefit and profit (at the expense of everyone else, as stated).
See? The issues are actually complex (and
not simplistic—or even simple!) and both TriangleMayn
and moobere have valid points and perspectives.
I encourage anyone/everyone to consider, debate, and eventually
act to fix the complex issues at play. I don't know what to suggest here—maybe tell each other a joke, shake hands as non-enemies, and chill out (playing a computer game or something, individually or together) before returning to fix the non-simplistic stuff. Please?
