VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Triangle [v1.0] [Neverlucky]

I really wanted to like this game better than I did. I'm rounding up with my three stars.

The character models are nice for an older game. You and the two girls are the only characters in the game.

There is no sound. No music or effects.

The biggest problem with the game is that it's boring. The game is a slice of life with the characters, but the writing is so basic bitch it damn near bored me to death. A good writer could have given this game more life and made it great, but it felt like the dev did as minimal writing as possible. Basically just the daily motions couples go through.

I don't hate the game, but if the dev had opted to put more than the minimal amount of required effort into the writing this game could have been great. The premise isn't bad. It's the execution.

Nice little story about a love triangle that, at least in my playthrough, led to a happy ending that everyone is happy with.

I don't know if there are multiple endings.
While playing, I always had a feeling that there might be if I had made different choices in the unfortunately few decisions I was able to make.

I find the unofficial iPatch that exists pointless, at least in my ending it wouldn't have made any sense at all.
Because then the wedding would have to be completely removed. (Marriage between brother and sister?)

For 4 stars the pictures are not elaborate enough, I miss certain post-processing effects such as depth of field, more light and shadow play and light reflections, as well as camera positions that utilize these things even more and present them in visual beauty.
But you also have to understand that the game is from 2019 (?), I mean, it can't be compared to the possibilities of today.

For 5 stars, the game completely lacks musical underlining, and generally lacks sound effects anyway.

Therefore only 3 stars, but very positive ones.
Good time playing, with a happy ending, 1-2 emotional scenes.

Nice Short game, but could've used a slower pacing.

I usually don't play non-incest games, but the reviews said it was a good story, and they were not wrong.
I enjoyed the game, story and the lewd content.

However I have some nitpicks about this that made me give it 4* instead of 5*.

I wish there was more time given to flesh out their relationship.
Jenny falls in love with MC a bit too fast. One bad dating experience in the past and another one in the present and suddenly she realizes MC is the best guy on earth for her. (I'm not against this setup, I just wish it had gotten a bit slower, more scenes, more conversations and she slowly falls in love)
Especially since she is the only one in this AVN that is falling love currently (sarah is already in love with MC) I wish more time could've been given to their relationship. When there are like 4-5 or even more love interests, then I can understand this fast paced love route, because you need to give other girls time as well, but here it was only one.

Sarah was a nice girlfriend. I was skeptical as to how Dev is going to write the story as to how Sarah agrees to polyamorous relationship (as other ANVs don't really explore this aspect that much).
And I will say I quite liked how the story went.
The night was chaotic (when Sarah found out she was pregnant, and Jenny trying to leave out of guilt)
This scene was believable (at least as compared to how other AVNs handle agreeing to poly relations).
Kinda got emotional when Jenny tried to leave. Really liked the chemistry between Sarah and Jenny, how Sarah accepted her and guided her to please the MC.

Renders
I know it's an old game, So I won't bash it down too much.
Still Models were great.
Jenny was very cute.
Sarah was also beautiful, but sometimes close-up shots of her face felt very weird.
And the MC model skin colour was very offputing. Don't get me wrong, Not against MC having a skin of colour, but his skin wasn't brown, if looked grey, almost zombie-like, looked inhuman. so the lewd scenes felt very weird.

That's all, besides above nitpicks, I enjoyed the story.
Really liked how you showed their future as well. how their careers went, and also showed their Daughters growing up. Not many AVNs do that. So that was a pleasant Bonus.

Kinda wished the MC married Jenny as well, I know not possible legally, but no one says you can't have a small ceremony to celebrate it. Maybe a pretended wedding at home with decorations or even at Church, just to make Jenny happy and make her feel like she is truly a part of your family. Just a small suggestion.

It's just a high quality game. I played this a long time ago, and came back to it recently, only to find out there is an incest patch. I don't remember there being one last time I played, but I love it. It isn't that long of a game, but it's enough.

Short summary:

Would be 3 stars years ago, today its a 2. This is a very old game, thus it has very dated renders. While wife model is great, all the renders are flat boring and low effort. Expressions and posing is bad. Character actions make no sense and go against what we learn about them

'Triangle' is a short but entertaining AVN, perfect for when you just want to click and read for a few hours, with lewds as a bonus.

Adult:
There's plenty of adult content here, though sex scenes aren't as hot as they could've been. There's barely any lead up or teasing, and they're over in a few renders.

Visual:
Visually, the game is good. It's an older game, so I'm giving it some leeway. If you're used to <current-year> AVN, you'll notice that 'Triangle' is lower in resolution and quality.

Story:
On the spectrum of story heavy vs. porn, this game leans more into the porn category.
Characters aren't deep or deal with any issues, even the slice of life content is bare-bones (eat, sleep, work, fun time).
The writing feels amateurish, with characters constantly addressing each other with their name/title/pet name. I also doubt that the writer has gone through grief themselves because the characters deal with it in very unnatural (even unhealthy) ways. This wouldn't be an issue if they actually had to deal with the consequences of not grieving properly, but this doesn't happen.

The best I can say about Triangle is that it is competent. The visuals are lackluster, but better than shitty AVNs. The sex scenes are dull, but at least they're frequent. The dialogue is boring, though a little effort was made to try and give the characters distinct voices. The slice of life story doesn't have any plot more than following the relationships with the two LIs, but that isn't uncommon. However, Triangle is quite short, and the relationship drama is resolved very quickly, so there is no tension throughout almost all of the game.

The reason to play this game is if you want a happy, non-confronting AVN featuring an mc who isn't an immature teenager or college student, and featuring two LIs, one a hot 18 year old and a hot older woman (somewhere in 25-35 I reckon). But unless you're looking for that very specific setup, I recommend giving this a pass.

Short and sweet.

VN with one of the better narratives. More romance focused and a couple or throuple route. The love story is the main plot, wholesome stuff. Usually the story with this genre overstays its welcome but for this VN, the length its just right. Helps that the plot feels organic with a mature writing while the characters are relatable and realistic(in a sense).

Models, renders and animations are good for its time. Lewd scenes are mostly vanilla stuff.

A relatively short VN with a lot of charm, the story is wholesome and has good writing and proper english. The characters are well fleshed out and for a story that has no antagonist and basically is 99% the three main characters talking to each other it manages to keep your attention and focus all the time.

The models are nice and the sex scenes are hot, however there are no animations. It is still a very nice game, total 5/5

Short but actually completed game which is rare. Loved the plot and the girls are great. Especially the wife (a feat in itself). Renders are pretty good and the lack of animations doesn't bother me at all tbh.

The lewd scenes are however still not the greatest. Sudden, short and the composition of the scenes could be better as well. It feels like it's 3 shots, wham bam. Same goes for the cuts between the scenes. MC goes to sleep and I don't think he even closes his eyes before someone says good morning to him. It's super weird.

Feels a bit rushed. Especially the ending feels like "I don't have time to finish writing the story but I don't want to leave anyone hanging". So respect for finishing the game, but the end is like I don't know how many years fast forwarded and a few pay-off scenes that were ok. Like I mentioned earlier, the lewd scenes in the game are a bit meh.

Oh and the MC looks weird af since his skin colour is gray. It's fixed in the latter part of the game, however.

All in all I really enjoyed it because of the great characters, good dialogue and of course the combination of all three but it definitely could be improved. It's an original story but most scenes are pretty standard for these type of games. The massage scene, the sauna scene, the pool scene, etc. It works.

The first game I've ever played on this website. Short game to complete, quite average and straight forward, no difficulty but a good introduction to AVN.

Overall a short simple throuple love story with literally no drama: older one love>=younger one comes>=younger one love>=older one discover>=throuple. You as player are not given any meanful choices except whether to knock the younger one up or not. Character models are a bit mediocre with no stylization. I recommend playing it only if you have no other good AVN to play.

Very nice game.

Not a bad game at all, but it's very average on all accounts: relationship's building, models, textures, story, length... It gives a nice little story for 2-3h max with no choice nor difficulty.

Simple is not bad so you can have a good tim playing this but do not expect choices or anything meaningful in the "playing" of the game.

If you like straight forward VN type games, you'll enjoy this. Inoffensive with no drama/stakes and things falling in place for the MC seamlessly. Lots of sex. I liked the design of both the girls and the difference in age between them is portayed well.

Overall a decent playable game. Characters look good enough and are sweet. Sex scenes are fine (some are quite hot, and love the presence of anal and pregnancy) . The story progresses in a feelgood way, with little dramatic turns, which however also makes it somewhat plain, but in the overall setting, it is satisfactory enough, as it also reduces the emotional investment. So a good relaxing game, or rather kinetic novel (as the story is mostly linear).

Just like other people have said bellow, its a short, wholesome story.

There are no meaningful choices here, the story is linear.

Its not perfect but its not bad either. The models are nice, renders are good, story is simple but it gets the job done (i would have preferred a tiny bit more drama but its fine)
There are no animations (i personally dont mind) but scenes are hot nonetheless

A good VN all around.

This game has a clear premise, and it delivers on it very well. The tight focus on three characters allows each one to feel distinct and realistic. There isn't much outside the development of the relationship between the three characters but there doesn't need to be. This is a slice of life story that feels like something closer to real life than any of the hundreds and thousands of mindless porn games. Some people criticize the game for its focus, saying that it doesn't have any conflict and there isn't an antagonist. This isn't really true.

There is a conflict, it just doesn't take forever to resolve, and honestly most conflicts in real life don't either. Most conflicts, especially the one this story sets up would be resolved quickly. When Sarah finds out about the MC and Jenny's growing relationship (which having the MC tell her as soon as it gets too far into the realm of cheating, which is nice and felt genuine) she has to deal with it. But her personality and the events that unfold don't make it feel rushed. She has three choices; leave, kick out MC/Jenny, or realize she's okay with it. Most people would know where they line up in a day or two, and so does she. Not every conflict needs to be dragged out pointlessly to pad the run time.

As for there not being an antagonist, why the hell does it need one? Not every story needs an external conflict to be engaging. An antagonist in this game wouldn't add to the story, it'd just be a needless distraction.

If you're looking for a more wholesome, straightforward, well-done experience, then you can't go wrong with this game.

Also, the two girls are cute as hell...

Good graphics, but plot is weak and not so much decisions in game let you think that it is just a very weird 3d hentai manga. Anyway, that is the fastest way to see sex scene in games with plot I've seen.
