2. The multiple penetration tag in the current version has a scene from the past, it happened before she met MC. Also, not sure if its relevant to ya, but the ones who do such stuff to the main LI's are all gonna face some consequences.

No sharing either. Though that is one of the things I might consider adding in the future. If it does make it into the game, its gonna be avoidable.
Tragic past makes up just a tiny portion of the 'dark' stuff, there's much more that happens in the future. I can't give you many details about the plot yet, but I wouldn't consider it anywhere near vanilla. Check the planned tags, something might catch your eye

Hehe! She's got this kinda past because I have some really good plans for her future. I can't make an option like that, because that event from her past is crucial for those plans. I need something as big as that to make sure the end of her story is satisfying

What I don't get is that so many Dev's have the need to put things as rape in the backstory of a LI in a harem game.
Another game that got an update today also did that (her backstory was in the first release) and he got so much crap for that, that he changed her backstory in the new update. Rape/NTR/swinging is not the what most harem fans want to see.

My best guess is that they do it to add some depth to the character, and make their behaviour more believable. That same sense of realism can't be achieved by other, lighter events. Also, for the record, there's no rape in my game

There's a lot of them but yeah some seem pretty dark lol (drugs, prostitution... and I guess corruption too, though that one doesn't have to be dark imho, corruption is a candy for me).
Ok I'll try it for now.

Oh and as JYPGames said, just do things the way you really want to, don't listen to people here too much (me included). Especially, if a character has a dark past (or whatever), you're right it would be completely absurd to have the option of "erasing it". Imho choices are good for stuff that WILL happen, not for what defines your characters to begin with.
