VN - Ren'Py - Trouble iN The aRena [Ep.7] [Sir Gary Bummer]

Neat little futa NTR game. Doesn't have a ton of content so far, but what's there is very enjoyable. Characters are a lot of fun and it subverts a lot of expectations. Actually pretty funny game that made me exhale a few times instead of rolling my eyes at trying too hard like most comedic VNs tend to do.

Best part of the game is Ruru the (antagonist?) girl who is doing the cucking. Powerful yandere demon maid that lets the protag fuck her and call her a little slut but is trying to fuck every girl around him? AND she doesn't care if he has a small dick? Fucking PEAK. Genius idea and it's such a refreshing take on the NTR genre where every antagonist is a copy paste asshole. It also helps that she's by far the prettiest girl in the roster.

Only real downsides I can see are the renders not looking great sometimes with poor lighting but I don't place a ton of emphasis on visuals so I don't mind.

Very overlooked project so far, deserves a lot more attention.

Very promising start. Definitely more of a slow burn NTR, which isn't for everyone, but for people who don't need tits shoved in their face every ten seconds, this is great.

Pros:
-Futa NTR. Not enough games have this. Always need more of it.
-The MC doesn't fit into the obvious, and horribly overused, tropes that a vast majority of NTR games use. Instead of the vaguely nice, sweet, and criminally oblivious/stupid character that is a total pushover, he actually has a bit of backbone and is a powerful warlock that can handle himself in a fight.
-The NTR itself is well done so far. Early days still, and we haven't gotten to anything super spicy, but it's nice to see her use different strategies to corrupt each character. It feels really nice to see the characters corrupted in different ways rather than just watching the same basic premise played out five different times.
-You aren't forced to just bend over backwards for the maid. You don't have to bone her if you don't want to. Most players probably will, and we don't know if these choices matter (really hope they do, multiple endings are always great in these kinds of games) but having even a little bit of agency is good for the story.
-The princess is actually really sweet, and I really like the scenes where she's trying to show initiative and advance her relationship with the MC. I almost wish there was a path in the game where the MC says fuck it to the harem, I have a princess who loves me and will do anything for me. Very unlikely to happen, but still, I like her, and I almost feel bad that she's going to get corrupted by a futa demon. Almost.

Neutral
-The models for the characters are very, VERY obvious honey select models. They aren't bad, but they aren't spectacular either. Some people will probably complain about this but overall, it's whatever. Most of them look fine.
-The maid is very well done, but one thing I am left wondering is why she's obsessed with the MC. He hasn't shown a lot of affection towards her and isn't exactly charismatic. Hoping her attachment to him gets explained later on in the story.

Cons:
-The MC, while dodging several of the worse character tropes in an NTR game, is still a bit of a dork, and his dialogue falls a little flatter than most other characters. So far, he's mostly been characterized as a horny little bastard that's kept in check because he's insecure about his dick size. While amusing, we really haven't gotten too much else from him yet, and I'd like to see him get a bit of depth as the story develops.


TLDR: Great start to what could become an excellent game. Look forward to more!

This is a promising looking choice based Visual Novel.
The writing is humorous and light.
The MC is a bit of a weanie in clear and understandable ways. But he is kinda cool in his area of expertise. He compiles together into an actual character and not just a shallow self insert.
Ruru the demon maid is delightful in her scheming and manipulation.

Decent intro that introduces every harem character and what the plot basically is: Maid wants MC for herself, she'll stop and likely steal everyone else away to do that.

PROS
-- Character visual design is mostly good, Maid's probably the best with the Dark Elf taking second.
-- Dialogue isn't mind-numbing and has some humor in it to keep a reader engaged.
-- Music is at 10% from the start so our ears don't get blasted by non-copyrighted music, so that's already a good first impression

NEUTRAL
-- There's one bath/NTR kiss-practice scene and one titjob at the end. It's a preview so I don't expect a whole lot, but a bit more with the maid could be nicer. Perhaps the titjob can be at the beginning to wake the MC up or start the game off strong, and a deepthroat at the end to reward an earlier dialogue option.
-- MC is about a fifth as horny as the maid. He talks about a harem and having a bigger dick, but he's not really eager to flirt or test boundaries, or even show initial interest in the girls until they offer something first. The maid seems more interesting as a main character already, which is fine, but it might not make sense calling him an MC then.

CONS
-- The harem characters are a bit one-dimensional, especially with their motivations. I want to know a bit about why they want something, since it's basically this:

- Maid wants the MC for herself. Okay, but why? He's basically an isekai Joffrey that wants a power fantasy in a harem, so what does he have to offer to justify that to the harem and her? Is it just because he summoned her?

- Elf fiancée is shy, naïve, sheltered, and.. she cares about the MC and is engaged. Why? How did they meet? Was it arranged? Was she just disillusioned by some accidental heroic act he did long ago which is why she's so hyped over getting a letter from him?

- Redhead anime rival shortstack student with anger issues is probably the worst out of the three that are into the MC. I get that she's a parody, but she doesn't stand out at all(Forgot her name) and she honestly could be cuter physically in comparison to the rest of the cast.

Most of the backing behind their motivations can be solved by adding a couple lines in the prologue, and playing off of those traits for the rest of the game might result in a story at least twice as interesting if the dev can work it in. Or maybe it'll be expanded in another chapter for a bit, dunno. I'd rather it be the first option.

-- MC is an isekai Joffrey. Yes, he's a parody character, but he's a bit insufferable at times which might be intentional. He's a mixture of greedy, selfish, and a bit naïve especially with his Maid, but it's a bit too easy to have him be the NTR victim when he doesn't have a whole lot anything going for him compared to the everything else of the Maid. At least make him a 2, 1, or a 0.5 in some way. He's the one that's at risk of not getting that harem he "desperately" wants.

-- The black colors and contrast are turned up too high most of the time and make me feel like I have an OLED monitor.

If the next update has some more content and runs a bit longer, it'd be worth supporting especially if the dev addresses some of these things.

Holy shit this game is awesome! Really hot, the characters are really entertaining and well written.
I was a bit worried because of the ntr warning, but its just girl on girl action, no extra male characters.
You did a really good job with this one, can't wait to see more!

Pros: Funny
Witty
Tries something difference other than classic NTR troupes
It doesnt take itself seriously (the MC is isekai'd and he still has a phone in the new world)


Cons:
It is a slow burner, it will probably take 2 or 3 episodes more to get to the hard NTR stuff we all degenerates love
Pretty empty of content as of first release/episode 1, theres 1/2 maybe even 3 scenes in it.
It's NTR and this forum has a civil war with the genre, some love it, some hate it. I just find the emotions of it and the heart break fun.



Story

It is pretty simple, MC dies, you get reborn in a new world, blah blah blah, but what it does different is that the MC is a warlock and not a complete useless fuck who shouldnt exist let alone have any woman’s affection. He can do magic, summon demons and shit. He has a Demon Maid (that he summoned??) and she is our “Bull”? sometimes she has a dick (huge ofc) sometimes not, it's different.


Originality

The game is not that original, it takes ideas from doujinshis and other eroge games and shapes them to make them funnier or more entertaining. Not a masterpiece by any means, but not your average eroge either.


Renders

It’s alright, there's animation in it, which i always encourage and enjoy, makes the scenes feel more livid and enjoyable.

Sound

Nothing crazy, not that much effort in them, not that many either. It works, and I would enjoy a little more of them in future updates.

So overall I'm gonna give this a 5 stars just because it tries something different from NTR and aims to be funny. Recommend, cum away.
