Considering that the game is also available in Russian the chance is high that the developer is living in Russia so that means that now that several Russian banks have been kicked out of SWIFT he won't be able to get any of his Patreon/Subscribestar money.
Doubt the whole situation is going to be beneficial towards this games development.

I know it is not definitive proof, but the fact that the game has Russian language built in as a choice makes me think he is. The splash screen has both UK and Russian flags displayed for language choices. Not many games include a secondary language choice like that unless the dev is that nationality.
