You know, there are times when I genuinely feel guilty for not giving a developer money (BaDIK) due to their consistently high quality updates.

And just when a new game is announced, that I fall in love with on release and SWEAR that if this developer can just make it to 3 updates without any bullshit or cringe ass excuses (that people still, in the year of our Lord 2k21) that I will financially support, I am reminded that "porn game developers" by nature, are only beaten when it comes to "god awful investments" by Dogecoin.

So here's to you Cloudlet! For giving me and i'm sure many others another excuse to keep downloading your shit for free! Stay mad!

I don't think there can be a reason to feel guilty, because our posts, our evaluations are important, no less than financial support, as in addition to making a game more salable, they can help devs to improve in addition to the fact that they trigger a competition in the sector that over time improves the evolution of these projects, for history, rendering, gameplay, etc ...
Unfortunately, I have noticed that although there are developers dedicated to milking, many followers continue to support such scams, and this followers, instead, demage the industry as it encourages some devs to walk this path - and believe me they do not feel guilty.

I think he has embarked on something that he is unable to develop both for the story but above all, in my opinion, also for the technical aspect of creating the game.

Hey, dev wrote something about soon some time ago, so the previous date was 'reset' don't you know ?
Now we count 2 weeks from the soon message. Then some time in the future there will be another message like "almost there" and the count will reset again...

Those are ancient techniques developed by masters like gumdrop and others. But hey they work.

I can't tell since even good and consistent devs have left me down over the years like Icstor. The thing is we can't really tell wtf is actually going on with someones life until we get the info. The best way to rumors or negativity on a game to spread is for the dev to communicate with the audience properly to know what is actually going on. Like what is going on now, we can't tell if he is stalling for time because of laziness, money, personal problems or the actual problem he mentioned.
