So he creates a story that ruins his game to make some money, but at the same time he doesn't release the regular update for his game on Patreon to retain his supporters? That doesn't really make sense.
The story (in the context of True Bond) is idiotic (just like Episode 6), the storywriting is dumb, the quality of the renderings and animation is mediocre at best. None of this fits with Cloudlet's previous work.
And by the way, Cloudlet disappeared completely for two years and no one could reach him, but this one fan somehow managed to do it?
I don't believe it. I think someone managed to take over the Discord account and is now trying to continue the game. Some fan, or several, is now ruining the game because they don't even have the necessary skills.
I've seen people say the art and rythm are not quite the same as before, but to be honest didn't feel nowhere near as jarring to me, possibly because it had been more than an year since i last watched it. People change and go through phases, the differences some posters are seeing can just as easily be explained by fan laser-focus on every little fragment of detail and then
overreacting after finding out the dude in the helm doesn't really have a strong opinion in some detail, niche or fetish that they as a group see as most important/divisive/polemic, be it NTR, lolis, bestiality or whatever.
Cloudlet pretty much desappeared for 2-3 years, no one has any idea why. Could be another person - or maybe the dev lost focus and got somewhat rusty in its CG art skills in the back-&-forth of trying to get back to activity and being interrupted repeatedly by who knows what circunstances of family, health, work & etc.
Life has a propensity for getting in the way sometimes - and not everybody goes into a project with every step of the way fully planned out and scripted, quite the contrary in fact for good and for ill. Lots of game/VN creators in these forums and beyond have suddenly jumped on little side projects or veered their works in directions their fanbases would look askance and rage about from time to time, all of that
without years of radio silence and god only knows what kind of psychological or emotional issues in the middle.
So, speaking in general and to no one person in particular in this thread - how about we have a little chill and patience? Let's chill out a bit and wait some more months to see where this ship is going before screaming bloody murder - and potentially gaslighting someone dealing with years of frustration, burnout & possible impostor syndrome over their identity and capacity to go forward with a project online because now there's a non-canon NTR short side story.
Bumps in the road are to be expected, so the best we can do for now is calm down, proccess the fact True Bond seems to be back from the dead and give Cloudlet some breathing room to get fully into gear.
