$20 is an insane paywall for a game that isn't even original art.
Drama asides, I hope they'll add Tracer to the game. IMHO the hottest OW chick, and always looks good with a cock in her mouth. Especially the Cadet skin. Easiest to "justify" with her being gay in canon too, with being curious back in cadet days.

Yup i've read that and that is what really irritates me because this is not how you attract new patrons, which often happens because games end up here on F95. But if the dev decides to go that way, then this is his decision and he seems to do well for this kind of game, which is honestly pretty suprising for me.

I'm trying to understand why everyone seems to think the latest full version of the game is behind a $20 paywall when his patreon clearly states you can get the latest full version for $10:
$10 or more per month
- Play True Facials - Standard latest version.
Because the $20 version contents complete version of the facial features. He has paywalled sections of the complete game off like its DLC. With $10 you get the base game, yes, but only part of the features. With $20 its the full. Even at $10 the price tag is insane.

what prevent it is the dev hismelf.
this is HIS thread, and he perfectly can ask moderator to refuse uploading his own stuff if he want.
consider its a pirate website and all, but still dev himself share his stuff, soo cant really go against his own decision on his own thread ...
unless dev is okay with that, wich i honestly doubt.

The demo isn't working. I'm playing on windows 10 but after the unity launcher the screen just disappear, but it still run on second plan (i have to kill the task before opening the laucher again). I tried the fix but it also don't work. Pls help

So you are saying that the links exist here, only because the game devs allow them to exist here? If somebody, like Mr. Dots for example, says he doesn't want DMD's full patreon version to be on this website, then the mods would comply with that?
Quite frankly, I think this must be bullshit. Palmer, for example, has implemented DRM into his games. If all he had to do was go to the mods and be like "Hey mods, I don't want them to put the early access version as a link on this site" then I don't think he would have gone to the lengths he did to stop people from cracking his DRM.

he is not the only one to do that. some oters dev post here public version and you wont see patreon version released in the thread because the dev have decided this.
and believe it or not, as pirate as this site is, the staff still respect devs, and if a dev have his own thread for his own game, HE decide if the game must be leaked or not, and staff would accept this, as respect to the dev.
aint bullshit. ask a moderator yourself and you'll see.

I believe you but just seems really sketchy. If someone made a thread "True Facials Full Version" then the mods would just delete it? Just because a dev is active in the forum and post their own game ahead of someone else, they get special preference? haha I don't even care about the game at this point, I just think the inconsistencies with these unwritten rules are interesting.

i dont pay fucking $20 for a Demo.
when the game comes in a finished status with way WAY more features then I think about buying it but he put his Demos behind a fucking huge Paywall and thats a stupid idea to promote his Game and his Patreon...

honestly, i dont know. but that would obviously create conflict because of multiples thread about the same game.
its more about respect than rules. if dev choose to share his game only demo or early and someone else post patron version, its not really rules breaking, but just kind of respect.
i mean, nobody give a shit about devs that arent here, can leak games no problem. but if dev is active here and release version here (even late or old version), its more a question of ethic .

Well wouldn't it be possible that someone posted a dl link to latest full version of the game as a reply to the thread, then a mod could update the OP with the posted link? That probably wouldn't stop the thread creator / dev from removing the new links, but still.
Heh, Devs playin like this are making players gather up and crowdfund one copy, solely to put it on MEGA or sth xD

it's simply because no one sharing the extra version yet, we have strict rules demanding that dev do not remove shits that we uploads (in return we will help promote their patreon or whatever)
we encourage dev to take ownership for their game thread for better quality control (easy bug fix uploads, etc) and getting interaction with community here.
however, we do not encourage devs to sabotage what we uploads. many of you think that we favors devs more because most of you expecting we all running on world banks or something (we don't) and we can just subscribe any patreon as we want (most contributors are forking out their own income).
we do have devs being deviant, removing patreon version and whatsnot, we would just remove the thread ownership from him. (happened few times already)
in the end, if you do sees the moment we upload the extra version and it got taken down, report it, we will check it, and remove the ownership of thread from him

ah, i remember to have seen some devs refusing to upload last version.
i may have missed that the thread changed then...
i though maybe it was some kind of deal between devs and staff to allow devs to post his own stuff on his decision, as long they are kind of mutual respect.
now its clear then... no complain if shit is posted
