A new month has come, any word from disc/subscribestar?
Realistically we can espect it for Valentine (they are on Chinese holidays now).
I'll be blunt.. I'm not so positive.
I mean: the body changes were much needed and they surely require a lot of time, but the real issue is the platform that has reached its dead end and should need a drastic rework (adding things on top of each other is just making it worse) proof is that the game is still strongly Cpu bottlenecked.

In other words, we will see by the level of program development in next version, if it was worth the wait and it'll be a "new beginning" or if history is repeating itself.

Yeesh, shame. Would be nice maybe they could throw in some modding support as a ‘farewell’ gift, I’m sure given enough time this community will crack the code somehow but it would be cool if they were like ‘well this is gonna take another year how about we let them mod again’

Jhon, if you've thoughts and suggestions about how to help the game, we're happy to hear them... But please, I saw you were asking for help with HG's Lua Scripts the other day, and if you think that's complicated you can only imagine how it must be for the Devs. Give them time to cook before declaring the game as having reached a dead end.
You are going with quite a lot of assumptions there..
But I'll give you that: since 10 y ago I decided not to learn blender, regretfully I can't practically help (or mod in the future) unless an import gui is made.
That doesn't mean I don't know models, I perfectly know how difficoult is to deal with IKs and phisics, and I've always deeply appreciated the job done and defended it as the "one of a kind" it is (maybe you should read my review on the game).

Yet if you are honest, you have to notice that the actual interface is pretty "busy" and you have to be really carefull where you click because the functions are starting to overlap, so at least some work is needed on the platform to "structurate things" (as many others have suggested), and that would both keep it simple and open a lot of new options.

But I'm sure Henry is well aware

Hey now fella's, where's this negative energy coming from? You already know what to expect in the next version as it's the body rework patch. There's no dead end, and there's no 'farewell' coming either. They've just had to redo all the bodies in the game and clear up some bugs... It's been a couple of months with near constant communication throughout. It's not that bad.

That being said, and I'll keep saying it... You all keep asking and clamouring for Modding Support, but how many of you can actually mod? (And if you can mod, seriously, go contact Henry. He wants workers for the project, so you might as well get paid for it!)

Just because a game has modding support doesn't mean that mods are going to magically start appearing for the game that does all the crazy things you can imagine. It's not a silver bullet.
I can mod, 100%. I’m getting a degree which is directly relevant to practice of modding, I make mods for other (regular) games as a hobby and would totally do so for this one, technically I already kinda did when that script came out freehg I started making my own lil edits of it to edit things I wanted to that weren’t included in the script. Not that crazy I know but honestly the hardest part of modding is usually just figuring out how to change stuff once you can that’s easy, it’s way easier than game development like what Henry is doing that involves actually *making* stuff, that’s hard.

I don’t really make mods for anything that would be on this site but this game would be the exception to that cuz I’m very into it it’s great. The one thing I can’t (or I guess, can, but refuse to because it’s far too time consuming) is model, rig, and texture, especially rigging fuuuuck that that shit is mind numbingly time consuming. But, again, I believe the team that makes this game literally just find models from the web and then import them into the game, they aren’t making their own? So if *they* could do that, I don’t see why I couldn’t, or other people on here.

Im not asking for like total conversion mods I don’t need a story mode or fiddling with the camera or other stuff just the secret sauce to getting the models working. I’m gonna take a wild guess and say the reason is it’s so hard is importing the models is half the battle the other half is getting the rig compatible with their proprietary tech for stuff like holes and whatever, which I could understand would be its own time consuming thing, but *still* I don’t think it would be *that* hard I mean cmon they’ve done so many so far…

No offense taken btw just saying ya absolutely I could mod this game why not, gimme the keyyyyyyssss

Half of the reason Honey Select and Koikatsu games had so many mods is because it was(still is) easy to mod them. The other half being having a community that is interested in modding them. It is unreasonable to expect to have a modding community around your game when you are preventing them from modding it in the first place. I know this because I've created mods myself, not specifically for these two games but other games that also happen to use Unity engine.

but one thing to remember is that "moddable" games arent just the devs allowing it, it also has to do with the mod tools available for that particular engine of the game. No one is making tools to mod TF, had anyone actually been making specific tools for the game we could have been seen a surge in the modding community for TF, but again no one wants to do it nor are they interested.

its just he fact that there are always a disproportionate amount of players to modders, and within those modders not all of them are capable of cracking the game to begin with. what we've seen so far is that TF is just a really unfortunate case of being difficult to mod, its not like the Devs are constantly against it or anything.

and in the case of Illusion games, the moment they switched to the new engine, the modding community suddenly died. That being because no one could be bothered to mod such a difficult engine.

The devs dont rip assets if that's what youre leaning towards, they actually have a base model they attach other models too. Theyre basically rerigging every girl to work with the game, it sucks to say but even with modding support it wouldnt be much easier since you would still need to tear and reattach the girls models you would want to use, and have it still work with the game. Though modding support would made mesh editing much easier.

The one thing that would be easier to do is adding accessories, ie models that arent rigged. Other than that TF has way too many scripts and armatures attached to one another to ever be made player friendly to mod. And unfortunately there are far too many people who want mods compared to the small few who make them at the end of the day.

None of the illusion games had mod tools etc, they were all made by modding community because it was possible to make them. And ill games didn't switch to a new engine, they've updated Unity engine version they were using AND ADDED MEASURES TO PREVENT MODDING WHICH IS WHY MODDING COMMUNITY SUDDENLY DIED. The difficulty is artificially created by devs themselves to prevent modding. A few people are still making mods for their newest game but there will never be similar amount of mods compared to their previous titles(when they were still called illusion).

My point is, if devs don't allow modding then it will never truly bloom. And currently it is not easy, to the point most modders would look at it and say "fuck it I won't spend my days for this".

Agh, ok well that’s a shame.

Well, still gonna hold out hope for some tools, here or there…

Well lets be honest, illusion mainly did it because it was a piracy issue, not a modding one lol. We tend to forget thats an issue while being on a pirating site. Looking at games like Playhome shows basically the same thing of a new engine (or engine version) keeping people from caring enough to actually mod easier tools for it, instead everyone stayed on the easier to mod HoneySelect (also yes modding tools were created for honey select, things like bone editing and other plugins using BepinEx, i never meant Illusion gave them out).

We can say confidently that Henry was more against pirating the game than being anti-modding, since he doesnt delete/flag any mod or modders, the complete opposite actually. So i dont think its fair to compare a game like TF that just happens to be hard to mod with games that reject it completely, because at the end of the day theres no such thing as an "ON" button for mod support, and more importantly mod friendliness at all skill levels. Which is what people really want, but isnt realistic at all.
