I think it's all because of the early leak of version 0.28 on Android. Also, I find it strange that all the 'day one leaks' were of the Android version. Maybe it's because the PC version contains unique values in the code for each top patron, and this way, lekaer try to maintain his anonymity.

The game will be available for free after a month of official release, but usually the devs were not against it when the update was leaked after 10 days, but apparently due to the fact that the Android version was leaked, the PC version will have to be downloaded for free on the day of its official release.

Like others have said, this month's update is taking longer than usual to be leaked. It seems the one's that usually do this are holding longer, most certainly because there is an ending in it. I believe they are trying to help the game to get a bit more subs by building the hype around this game version.
