It is a nice start for a family-harem game. Nice models for the family members. The dad character seem like a good man but it is sad that he will inevitable be dead(I guess) probably caused by the aunt's husband(the villain)

Well, a bit of a spoiler maybe... but no, he'll be very much alive, but he won't be with his wife anymore... and nothing bad will happen to him.

Just finished playing, quick thoughts...

I was even enjoying this.... now... it's all garbage. What a waste.

Peace :(
Damn, you guys really hate sandbox lol. I honestly didn’t know it was that bad. I don’t like grinding either, but my idea was small achievements to progress the story—his new job, helping at home, and rebuilding the car. But I’m really considering scrapping that now. Thank you for your opinion, this has been very enlightening. I was too stuck in my own head!

For me personally, the problem with the sandbox is that the characters most often do not interact with each other, they each exist in their own vacuum.

Can't speak for everyone but for me personally, I've seen way too many sandbox games fall into unplayable hellholes, got burned too many times and now whenever i see "sandbox", i already expect a disaster.
If you really want to go down that rabbit hole, i can offer some suggestions:
- avoid eccessive grind
- avoid dead zones (a place that only has a couple of events and then sits abandoned)
- either implement a quest tracker, or show where is each major character
- always have something that reminds us where to go (eg. if we have to gift a flower to character A, conversations with A should starts with "did you get my flower yet, MC?" or something like this)
- mark clearly all choices that would lock the player out of a relationship

Good luck

To be brutally honest, the grinding is the part I'm less worried about, SaveEditor solves that problem. Or URM.

What I absolutely HATE about Sandbox is the time waste of looking for where the Dev (the guy I usually end up calling, THAT FUCKER) hid the next bit of story... I am OLD. I don't have many years left. Wasting them looking in a map or a succession of rooms where the next event triggers... is simply unbearable.

Mini-Games? Dude, I am 61 years old, I have an early onset of something similar to Parkinsons, my eye-hand coordination is gone, I have involuntary spasms of my fingers, I have bad eyesight that isn't correctable because of the shape of my corneas. That "Easy" one took me 4 tries... May your mother forgive me for the names I called her, I am sure she was a much nicer person than what I called her.

I am going to let you in in a secret, when you are making a game to be played by others, don't presume that they are copies of you. Ages and physical capacities will vary, enormously. Your "Easy" was a nightmare.

Sandbox, as in an event oriented game, ceases to be about a story, and about what event the "Player" was able to find and trigger. From that point on, there's really no story. When Devs decide to go the Sandbox route, they are confessing that they don't want to write a story anymore. They only want to play hide and seek with the events, wasting theirs and ours time in a patience test to see who gives up first. Me. I'm the one that gives up first.

Please do scrap it. And the Mini-Games too... or at least give us the consideration of being able to not play them.

Peace :(

Well, I’m actually a game designer lol. I currently work in the game industry, so I’d rather not go into too much detail about that. And yes, my boss knows about this game—he was actually the one who encouraged me to give it a try as a side project (and wow, it turned out to be a massive amount of work…).

So any of the problems you mentioned wouldn’t happen here, since part of my job is making sure those exact issues don’t occur. But I do understand that the community has been burned by these mechanics being poorly implemented in the past, and I’m really sorry you’ve had those bad experiences that shaped your perception of this type of gameplay. Honestly, I’d feel the same way if I had to progress without a quest log or any sort of guidance.

IMO sandbox games aren't terrible as long as they aren't grindy which is why most people don't like them on here, I definitely think it's wise to skip the mini games though. Kinetic with choices could be a good option too. Overall I think this game has a lot of potential though and I think you should keep going.

You’ve really opened my eyes to a very big problem, and I’m truly sorry. As a Game Designer, we follow certain rules of work and reward, but I completely overlooked the very issues you mentioned

Thank you for your feedback. I’ll give it a week of thought. It’s never wise to make decisions right after a release (I’ve learned that the hard way…).

As a last reply for today, I’d like to thank everyone who replied and played the game. It’s been an honor having you play my first solo adult game. Even if you didn’t like it, you still took the time to let me know what didn’t work and what did, and I truly thank all of you from the bottom of my heart ❤ (I really mean it).

Have a wonderful Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night, everyone—and if you run into any problems, please feel free to leave me a message!

That all can still be done in visual novel style as part of the story along with linear scenes with the love interests that the player has accepted. If they turn down a Li, it skips to the next scene in the story
