Although I don't particularly like threesome, I got nothing against it either
I dont mind threesomes at all, and I am very sure we will see some in this game.
But those two were pretty unlikeable in the story and MC rejected them. So I dont really want to see a scene with them.
(I prefer real Sex over Toys all the time, but this has more to do with the characters involved... But that being said, I am not the one voting, so I will not complain either way)
Always up for scene with Jacky, but it would be good to get practice with rendering threesomes

To be honest, it feels less like the MC is convincing her and more like she's convincing herself in the seduction path. And I'm 100% down for that! The more she sees you with Steph, the more it seems she wants you.

The relationship sheet in 0.7d are not just only including main Li and side girl but also add a new type called support, so what is this mean? Someone you can not fuck but support on your actions like leon or gao and cain?

One thing to consider is that although he has the mind of a 40 something, he's in the body of a pubescent boy. The prefrontal cortex is still developing and that body will depend upon the emotionally driven amygdule for decisions until around age 25. A relatively normal person would probably find a lot of "Why did I do that?" moments. On the other hand, he's already established as being emotionally and socially stunted, so he probably never grew out of many of the teen perspectives.I just don't get how a 40 something year old guy couldn't get over his childhood crush. It's like he has the mind of a twelve year old.
His obsession over her is too much to the point that he is acting like a simp. I mean there is nothing wrong about liking the character of a person to the point of an attraction, but getting emotionally disfigured in the near proximity of that person to the point of openly favoring that person in front of his girlfriend is a bit too much.

It wasn't about just Catherine too. It was idealized and Catherine grew into an amalgamation of failures and what ifs. The "crush" was beyond the person, aka Catherine. It does tend to happen in real life too, and the less "successful" you are the bigger the voice in your head.

Development update – Beach map + wip mall map preview
I severely underestimated how much effort the mall map would take. Initially I intended to just put 2d images behind the showcases of all the small stores to simulate the insides but that turned out to look very bad so instead I have to build them from the ground up. Another problem is that there are simply no fitting assets for this map in studio so I have to build almost everything with simple shapes and custom textures which does take quite a while as honey select really isn't made for stuff like that (at times I even thought about whether it wouldn't be more time effective to just learn blender and do it that way).
I really have to say, making this map is probably the first time I despise working on the game. But, it can't be changed and the nice thing about maps is that once I get through it they are basically just another asset for me to use at any time so that bit of struggle will be worth it.
The beach map on the other hand did turn out quite decent in my opinion. It is by far the biggest map I've made so far (and it really is a strain on my pc) but in comparison to the mall map making it was a walk in the park. Having access to proper assets really makes all the difference in the mapping process.
Anyway, I know map previews aren't the most exciting thing for you guys but they are part of the development process and this is a development update after all. I'll make something more fun for next week but for now here are a few previews of the finished beach map as well as the work in progress mall map.

Also following up on this. How did you fix this?? The slowdown has only gotten worse with consecutive updates
Whenever the animations get choppy I just save and reload, that usually fixes it.
I'm wondering if it's not unloading the animation each time there's a new one, and just piling them up on top of one another. I know some other renpy games have had that issue before, where they needed to use "scene" instead of "show". As "scene" will clear and load a new thing, whereas "show" just piles them up, leaving the animations still running in the background.
Nope, nevermind, when looking at one of the scenes in d4.rpy, it seems like BaiBai always makes sure to "hide" (clear) the old animation upon showing a new animation. So I'm not sure of the issue. Save and reload usually works for me whenever that issue springs up.
