To find her you go upstairs to her room and inspect a painting near the bed I believe. Then there's a flame puzzle to solve.

I can't figure out how to get into the mine, is there a task you have to do before going in? I'm assuming it's in the Anthill

Just don't tell the boss in the mine that you're the chief's daughter.
