btw, tried the game, and it needs a LOT more than MTL fixing/proper translation
the game needs a whole UI revamp cause this ain't it. no proper map, no quest finder, heck, the quest marker's quest in menu gets obscured almost 100% of the time.

Completed the game. Yes, there is pregnancy. Other guys got more action than mc did. Sucks. Would have been nice if mc was going around and breeding. He did actually got some main chick preg, but no scene after that with them.

this is why human don't act like animal or we get this.
but why the hell not?
we aren't here to correct anything, it's a porn game with fetishes!
.
this one have pregnancy tag but doesn't really feature it, it just "there".
fellow breeders, don't waste your time here.
.
this isn't even NTR, love is just a word when they fuck around like animals. don't fell for this stupid mindset and plot, it's not worth it.
not even hurt, just plain brain cells lost.

Humans are animals. Nothing wrong in this story. We have monogamy just because it's beneficial to society. Or at least it was until the last century. There are fully monogamous animals, by the way. Having sex all year long for pleasure is more of a human thing, most animals only fuck when it's the breeding time of the year and they are in heat, while humans are sexual all year round. Love is just drugs in your brain, nothing else.

If the synopsis of the the game is the actual a story than it's flawed.

If the king 200 years ago succeeded in changing the populations belief in sex and marriage to its OK to fuck and give birth to whoever kid and not just the person you love. Than common sense values would literally believe what society thinks is OK and the individual a who thinks otherwise (have kids only with the person you love) would be an anomaly, not common sense

Sometimes I wonder do dev actually think about the world they are building?
The synopsis doesn't say if his "common sense values" are the same as yours, why you assumed that he shares your "normal values"? It's not clear from the description if his common sense values include sharing his wife, but this is the most likely interpretation of the story. He's normal by his society's standards, not ours.

I never once insinuated what my "common sense values" were or judged anything based on them. So, your "rebuttal" is already factually invalid, as you've chosen to argue against something I neither said nor insinuated. Everything I stated was based entirely on information provided in the title or synopsis. I know it's hard, so let’s go slow.

Title: Two Hundred Years Ago, Making Babies Was the Act of Loving Each Other

This is the title. It insinuates—since it’s written in the past tense—that making children was once an act shared between two lovers. However, because it’s in the past tense, it wouldn’t be inaccurate to assume that something has since changed. But what? Let’s continue.

"A kingdom on the brink of destruction due to a great war. In order to restore the population, the king at the time tried to change the mindset and separate love and sex."

This seems pretty self-explanatory, but let’s break it down anyway. The kingdom was dying and losing its population. How do we know this? The solution presented was population restoration. And the best way to achieve this? Changing the mindset—or the “common sense values”—of the time by separating love and sex.

"200 years later, the idea that having children is something you do only with the person you love has become a thing of the past, and the kingdom has flourished once again."

Now, I understand this may be hard to conceive (ba-da-ding!), but this sentence implies that the plan was a success. The kingdom survived another 200 years, and not only that, the mindset shift that the king pushed—separating love and sex—has now become the norm for the kingdom. In other words, having children with anyone, rather than out of love, is now the societal norm. As a result, the kingdom is thriving.

"Yon is a young man living in a small village. He has normal values and a very common-sense way of thinking."

Here lies the inaccuracy.

Definition of common sense:
Good sense and sound judgment in practical matters.

This is the definition. However, the issue is that common sense changes over time as environments, social norms, technology, and knowledge evolve. What is considered “common sense” in one era (200 years ago) may not be considered so in another (the protagonist’s present). Common sense is shaped by accumulated experiences and the understanding of the world, which are constantly updated and refined.

Yon, the protagonist, doesn’t actually demonstrate this. The story starts with him as a child. He is taught the same things as everyone else, raised the same as everyone else. The idea that he could act differently than, say, his friend Russell (removing player choice for the moment) would directly contradict the "common sense" of his world. Honestly, not until the “voice in his head” event (I stopped playing around the time Mel was supposed to serve her first customer in the inn after marriage—it got boring) is there any catalyst for the character to deviate from the established norms. Until that point, there’s no reason for him to think differently or hold different "common sense" values than those of the rest of his society.

The rest of synopsis doesn’t add anything new. So, please point out where I supposedly interjected "my values" into this discussion.

Edit:
So I actually took the time to look back at your comment and then the synopsis. While you're still wrong about me applying my values, I can see where someone interpreting what is written as "the guy just has common sense" as in maybe he's normal and not special.

how's the mtl? is it chatgpt level or poetry level?
MTL is never particularly good for Japanese, no matter what method or program you use. It honestly probably never will be simply because the language is incompatible with direct translation, it needs context which the MTL will not have. I haven't played this translation, but I expect it will have all the usual issues; incorrect pronouns when talking about a character, not knowing when to use I, we, or you, or incorrect translation of places, titles, or things, or sentences that are too literally translated and just come out weird in English.

everything wrong in this story if applied real world common sense.
but i'm not here to preach anything though, it's a porn game.
it doesn't have to make any sense anyway. :KEK:
