As for futanari in the UFO universe, they are in a category by themselves.
From what we've learned from Galaxina, Ivan, and others, futanari are rare partially synthetic sex dolls. They secrete futa cream, which is an addictive euphoria inducing drug. At least in Galaxina's case, she refers to herself as a woman, going so far as to say that she only has female hormones and is thusly a "superwoman". While she does have a vagina, she also has balls and a large phallus, though she does refer to the latter as her clit, and took offense when it was called a penis.
Considering that there are no males in the doll society, and what the dolls were created for, it could simply be a question of terminology.
Regardless, since futa don't fall into typical gender norm categories, it could be argued that they also aren't included in binary sexuality either. Meaning that being attracted to, having a relationship with, or being sexually active with a futanari, at least in the realm of this visual novel, wouldn't be considered "gay" or "straight". It could certainly fall under pan-, poly-, or omnisexual, but wouldn't fit into hetero- or homosexual, since we have yet to meet another of her gender.
