Dear god! I can feel it... it's coming... my... my inner NERD is taking over, and making me EXPLAIN BORING THINGS! HELP!!!

Hello, fellow nerds. 572.413 light years from earth would be a poor choice for any pornship to hang around, simply because whatever direction you would choose, there wouldn't be anything there but some stray baryons. Let me illustrate:

I see what happened here - Wasabi7145 probably meant it as a decimal point ("572 LYs and some change"), but Crispyking assumed it's a thousands separator (implying 572413 LYs), because the world is dumb and there are no universal standards for anything :p.

You could get rid of the 413 altogether and just say "572 light years" to remove all ambiguity.

Well, if you really want your porngame to adhere to the highest of science fiction standards, than this would be at least my way to go about it:

According to Star Trek the U.S.S. Voyager could make about 1000ly in a year, or about 3ly a day.
Since your vessel's CUM-drive is clearly technologically superior to the Voyager's, I'd wager to say it could make something like 10ly a day at CUM 10. The average distance between stars in the Milky way is 5ly, so your vessel would be able to travel from system to system in a matter of hours. In short:

0 - 9ly = short distance, doable in a day or less
10 - 99ly = medium distance, travel time of a few days
100 - 2.999ly = long distance, takes up to a year to travel this far
3.000 - 39.999ly = remote outposts, and regions still to be explored. It can take you up to 10 years to get this far
40.000+ly = if you went into the right direction, then you would have reached the boundaries of our Milky way by then. Mostly emptiness (Intergalactic medium) for the next 2.500.000ly (or 700 years of travel, at max. CUM-Speed mind you.)

Clear and professional explanation, thank you. I think the number 69ly is good for that.

So in story terms after retrieving the parts need to fix the ship, our main character will have a week of getting familiar with everyone on the ship. :sneaky:
Eh, depends. If you're copying Star Trek, their burst speed is way faster than their sustained cruising speed. Of course, if you're copying Star Wars, they can travel across the whole galaxy in a day or two so 69ly would take a few minutes.

man I liked the game but I will never support you, not because I don't like you or the game because I do, but for the ridiculous amounts I need to pay here in my country to receive with a week after the launch is R$ 57, 50 Brazilian reais, and for me to receive with early access is R$ 115.00 Brazilian reais, sorry but for me it's impossible to support you. and not to mention that I will be paying this without receiving content for a month or 2 it becomes unfeasible but I wish you good luck and that you manage to do well with your game.

I know it's not your fault but my country's fault, but I think it's bad that I'll never be able to support anyone because all values follow the dollar exchange rate.
