Lol, just tried to change graphics settings. And.... Game runs slower on lower preset and better on ultra on my 1080ti/r7 3700x. It's all you neet to know about game optimizaton.
I'm assuming you mean the guys in red/black robes (who do have faces). The reason is because they are human, and you only need to exorcise them after they're possessed.

Takes me back to the good ol' days down in Fallujah, patrolling the seventy-two with the reliable ma deuce, watching the streets for any sign of those demonically possessed rapists in funny man dresses. Ah yes, been awhile since we got a good side scrolling. I think I would love this... But of course after I did the maintenance to my PC
1. Download the most recent version of UABEAvalonia.
2. Use UABEAvalonia to open the resources.assets file in the UkiyoGensoEnnichi_Data folder. This will list all the files in the UABEA's "Assets Info" window.
3. Sort the resources.assets files by filetype, scroll down to the Texture2D files, highlight all, click the "Plugins" tab on the right side of the UABEA window, select "batch export textures".
4. The dumped files will include the Path ID in the filename (e.g. in "texture_001-resources.assets-550", 550 is the Path ID). For each file you have to manually compare each texture against the demo textures to see if a less censored version exists. If so, write down the Path IDs for each of the matching files, they will be different.
5. Copy all the less-censored demo textures to a new folder. Rename each one to change the Path ID for the demo file to the Path ID for the release version. (e.g. "texture_00-resources.assets-172" demo file should be renamed to "texture_00-resources.assets-236").
5. In UABEAvalonia, open the resources.assets file again.
6. Sort by file Name this time, scroll down to the first assets named "texture_00", control click on each of the Path IDs you wrote down that were changed. Click the "Plugins" tab, click "batch import textures", select all the demo textures you renamed, click OK. For every texture you successfully replaced, you'll see an asterisk appear next to that file in the "Assets Info" window.
7. Once you've replaced all the textures, you have to save the changes to resources.assets in the "Assets Info" window by clicking file save.
It's a pain. The Path IDs may also change with future updates to this game, so this process will have to be done again. This is why I provided the old demo textures as an archive instead of the fixed resources.assets file. I am working on fixing the current version of the resources.assets file, but it may only work for the release version.

Is there a way to fix not being able to see the main menu? I have tried every resolution in window and full screen and I don't see anything at all. I even tried changing resolution on my windows settings and still nothing.
Edit: right after I posted this, I found a fix. Start the game and the return to main menu. (2nd button down on the right side of the settings)

How did you return to the main menu again? Pressing ESC while in game doesn't show any options on the screen either.

It shows it for me. At main menu, I pressed space bare to start game, ESC to pause, clicked on settings and return to title is on the right 2nd down.
