There are more but they are like one in every ten. But you are not wrong. People tend to abandon projects and some of them are just seeing it as an opportunity for easy money.

Some people place really high value on Dogs and others do not, so swearing on your dog's grave is really subjective and doesn't actually mean anything other than to come off overly performative. To be honest, this swear on the dog's grave sounded weird. I feel they feel a lot of pressure and they feel bad about the delays, so they are trying to show to people that they are serious committed on this and they won't give up. I don't believe that they are going to cheat people (I am not taking a vow either though) because they already did a lot for this project. Some in the right direction, some in the wrong direction, making them lose a lot of workhours. They mostly need to learn to plan more carefully in the future. The creation of two separate versions and then trying to merge them into one was a terrible mistake. But they did it and this is now a past. Aside what we are saying here, each of us, this project is promising and I hope it gets completed as it deserves. No anything else. I am tired to see the MC being the sub all the time. I want to play a game as the dom.

Yeah but how many hits is the states with all it's coddling and anti-crunch laws dropping on average these days?
Not many.

Maybe the a middle ground is the best policy.
Not quite slave labor but a tight schedule can do wonders for some devs. We're kinda off track here; to bring it back to *this* game, I'm not even blaming this dev. I was just pointing out that people have a reason to be a little wary when the delays and cancellations start happening. They are common symptoms in this space.

Some people have way too many expectations that are really just unproductive clutter. Sometimes less is more. I'm just saying I hope they learned to not give deadlines that will stress them out in the future. Add to these, the people that demand features derailing their original plans because they paid or worse because they didn't pay for it. And this always, in short update intervals. I have seen a lot of developers burned out and lose interest because this.

Because of that last-minute bug I found, this release will not be good, I mean it. It's not ready for early access, so if you were thinking about buying it after this drops, DO NOT. Progress is all fucked up, and things aren't getting saved. Right now, I'm rebuilding the save system from scratch and testing every feature to ensure they work properly. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fix everything. I tested it all night and found over 200 bugs, and the most frustrating part is that nothing is getting saved.
