I talked to the dev, they were source files related to the XTZ on the main menu, they said they were going to remove them, not sure if they updated the build in the OP or not. They said they were not supposed to be there.

Morning y'all!

When repacking Crimson High, it keeps giving me an error message during distribution building. It does this on my new and on Bob's old one too. Any ideas? Looks like there might be a missing file?

It's hard to say since there are not much info in ur log so it may be anything including antivirus. So to debug problem u need to check/do following steps: does error happens with not compressed version? does it happens with disabled antivirus? does it happens if u (re)build it using UAGC (u need to install included SDK 1st)?
P.S. Actually in this case I just advice to skip PC distribution building since it pointless I think (no rpa files, just pack compressed game to zip or 7z and upload), so it's only problem if same happens with MacOS version building.
Upd: I think I've understood root of the problem - RenPy SDK saves by default distribution to folder named "E:\CrimsonHighBuilds\CrimsonHigh-0.38.1-dists" so if u don't have such folder or no free space left, u'll get such error. So the culpit is ..\game\init.rpy file where hardcoded building path and u need to delete this file (init.rpyc too) and try again.

I’ve got another question, though. Sometimes, when I compress RPGM games, the video files just end up playing with a plain white background—For example, in The Legend of the Hero of Edoriam, the intro video turns completely white after I compress the game—though not always.

Every situation is unique, curent game have video files which have names that contains non-latin letters. Probably auto non-latin detection mode fails to detect it so u need to try to enable (not auto) non-latin fix. Also try to check if file name of intro video is stays the same (á in name, not a) after compression (..\Edoriam\www\movies\Tráiler e Inicio (Edoriam).webm).

I tried another one, Femdom Invasion—it only has an intro trailer with Latin letters (Femdom Invasion - v05\www\movies\Femdominvasion). Same issue: once the video compression finishes, the trailer turns white.

I can't say exactly why it happens for u since too little info provided (does those intro video stays [I meant check if it not deletes and with same name] after compression and plays in video player, does intro played fine for u before compression, did u use mass/bulk compressor or single, can u make screenshot of RPGM MV/MZ compression settings, can u upload those 2 compressed intros, did u changed/updated manually ffmpeg UAGC files [ffmpeg.exe in Sripts folder]) coz I've checked both games and all was fine, videos intro played after those both games compression and I say more that for 1st game UAGC wouldn't even probably touched video because it starts compressing for me only with manual non-latin fix. Also nobody complained about such issue long time ago so maybe problem at ur side so try temporary disable AV for testing.

Yep, the intro played fine before I compressed it. No, I didn’t use the mass RPGM compressor.

I just unpacked my compressed version again, and now the intro’s playing normally. I’m seriously going shizo here…

Probably coz translation is embedded to big exe file so to make it work (not 100% sure since not tested yet):
1st way: enable encrypt files back (downside is that big exe file wouldn't be compressed)
2nd way: rename it to "Game En.exe", activate "Game En.exe unpack" feature.
3rd way: try manually extract it with UAGC VB Enigma Unpacker from main menu, move to root extracted files if needed.

I didn't do anything different than I usually do with other translated RPGM games.

I’m redoing the compression now, just to double-check the settings. Can confirm those were the ones I used.

This thing is getting emmediatly quarentined by McCafee as a Virus and I've had atleast one person comment on the compression you did with it M.Alice as having also been flagged as a virus. Any thoughts? Confessions? gifs?
As awesome as the compression is, it's kinda useless if the files are just gonna get quarantined.

McAfee is junk.

UAGC also has "hacking" tools that get picked up by some AV's as unwanted apps/tools.

UAGC itself should be picked up by any decent AntiVir lol. Alone the injecters for some of the Games are enough for AntiVirs to freak out lol
