Can't even start up the game - it hangs on the splash screen!

Same same. But if it goes against their wishes, I don't expect to see it here. And it's a paid version, exclusive to Patrons. Plus it's pretty well-made so I think it's deserving of that. That's not even much tbh. It's just, when you want a dozen games and they all cost 5 to 15 or even 20 dollars, it does start to add up.
The thing is, on this site, the paid latest versions of H-games seem commonplace. So the fact that the newest version isn't here while new, like 4 days ago or so, shows that maybe they don't want it being uploaded. But idk.
If I gotta pay the 5 bucks, I will. Though, it would be cool to get the latest version, that being 2.0, for free to try it out before I actually buy the thing officially. I haven't added my card to itchio thus far and have been just fine. So I'm reluctant to do so. And with it being so niche and fairly underground compared to steam, PS store, eshop, amazon, google play, apple, etc... I'm not sure of its security.
Not that it's gonna get hacked or breached. Just puttin my thoughts out there.
I'd rather not pay just yet, if I don't have to. But it could be weeks or months til it's made free, at which point, a newer version would be out as well I'm sure.
And just between 1.5 and 2.0 is already such a huge jump, I don't wanna play an outdated version either...
Decisions, decisions...
If I do see it somewhere though, I'll be obliged to grab it hehe

how are you supposed to get the game to work???? can yall check the comments of the official itch page and get back to me? the download for the game, atleast the free version, is literally an exe file which should be a zip/rar file. And it runs an installer which just gives me an error every time as seen in the picture someone posted there. ppl in that reddit post said extracting the contents of an exe file in the way they seem to imply you're supposed to be doing due to that error, runs risk of viruses or malware, etc since it can leak malicious code and things. I don't think I want to do that. Is the paid version the same? an exe that runs an installer? can someone just share the actual contents of the game in one folder like any other game has, with me? as I said, my dms are open. Pretty please, thanks. Otherwise, I have no fucking clue how I'm supposed to play the game on my computer.
bro, links are down. can you dm me a new link? and preferably the actual game so i can just extract the archived contents and run, rather than the slog of an exe file that isn't actually the game itself like how they have on their itch page for some reason. Thanks in advance
PC preferably but I'd take mobile too in case the pc version still doesn't work.
