Some places are only open during certain periods of the day, if it doesn't open no matter what, then it's wip
chara checking up on the player isnt the fucked up part, that's the wholesome part, the fucked up part is the players general behavior towards the girls, at best he's indifferent, at worst he's manipulative and just plain fucking evil.
i genuinely have never had a game in which i loved the personality of the girls and the way they're portrayed, but was immensely annoyed at both the protagonist, and the WAY the relationship progresses.
and i DO NOT wanna hear that "if you dont like mind control just dont play it" riddle me this, dickhead. name ONE even decent undertale game on this site, hell on the damn INTERNET, (i mean there's the in progress under(her)tail game, but that's a different story, one i know little to jack shit about.). on top of that this game's portrayal of mental illness is AMAZING, it's not perfect by any means, but the way you can genuinely help the girls lives get better is adorable, the way the girls thank you after a tier 5 mission, the cuddling scenes, etc. it just makes it all so bittersweet when you know that you've practically forced yourself on them.
though this game is miles better than jikage rising in that regard, it's explicitly just plain rape in jikage rising.

I wrote the Protagonist's personality with the intention of "He cannot be a good person if he is fine with mind controlling girls.".
And I get that Mind control isn't everyone's thing, but I enjoy it too much to not base my projects around it.
You should totally start over and do the evil route to see how fucked up things can get :3

i did enjoy the game though, and did really enjoy the moments of genuine tenderness, and actual care the mc CAN show sometimes
I do feel like the main character needs fleshing out, he just feels like, mostly an asshole, for no good reason, i get you said "he can't be a good person if he's okay mind controlling girls" but i still feel like he deserves SOME sort of reason as to the way he is, i get there's the whole "i want the main character to be a shell for the player" angle, but still. i dont think i'd be alone in wanting something more from the protagonist himself, if you can flesh out fuckin muffet into a character with a decent amount of care, it wouldn't be too far off to give the protagonist SOME reason as to why he doesn't really care about other's beside himself. i dunno, might just me hoping to give some sympathy to the dickhead, im a sucker for emotional depth aight?
though i really dont feel like it's needed in the evil route, he can just be evil in that, fuck him.
if you do consider it, im not saying it's something needed "NEXT UPDATE IMMEDIATELY!" no, more end game, or little hints as you go on. it's wishful thinking on my part i guess.
I understand where you're coming from.
I tried to write the protagonist (I'll just call him by his canon name, Protag) as more of a player insert in the start, and only later on did I decide to start making him his own character.
But even then, I don't really want to explore much more of him deeply, because he isn't an Undertale character (or from the fandom).
He's my own OC I made for the game, and I know that people are here for the undertale characters and not for my OC's backstories.
The main reason he's like is, is simply because... the story wouldn't work at all if he were remotely a good person.
And that's not to say there isn't a reason for WHY he's so eager to immediately start mind controlling girls, there is one and it will be explained later.
But I definitely won't be exploring Protag's backstory, because people are here to bang hot Undertale girls, not to watch me fantasize about my OC.
I'll still try to give him more characterization though ^^

on a serious note, I'm glad you are deciding to flesh him out, honestly the Blank slate trope in games like this gets annoying.
I aint hoping you make him a good person (though I would like it, sappy fuck I am) the thing I'm hoping for is a reason to the madness beyond "me horny, me want easy ass"
but at the end of the day, this is your game, your OC, you can do what you want with him, and while if he just turns out to be horny, ill be a little upset, that's only my opinion, and that don't mean jack shit. (besides I'm too infatuated with the surprising depth of the characters to back out now, worst case scenario I ignore the dudes antics at his worst.) this is whatever you wanna make it, and I know there's plenty of sick fucks (no offense) that want to see where you take it.
The scenes are great and I love the art, but it would be nice for some more variety in sex acts as most of the girls' sex menus look pretty much the same. Maybe something with anal or maybe a handjob while the protag is fingering the girl.

A good way to introduce him as someone slightly better would be if his motivation to use mind control was to make people lifes better, even if it turns into a lie atleast he fooled himself to try something good, which could open some future "good route"
I'll just be saying it here to not get people's hopes up:
There won't be a dedicated "good route" because it would be a lot of work.
On top of that, it feels pretentious and overdone to try and give a justification for why mind controlling girls into sex is a good thing.
The game's fetish is mind control, I've designed it with that in mind, and every scene is also designed with that in mind.
To try and justify the protagonist for what he does is just a waste of time that could be used for better things, like fleshing out other characters more.
The closest I can get is the protagonist genuinely caring about, and wanting to help the girls move past their trauma. But that is still secondary to the main point of the game: To have some nice mind controlled sex.
While I will provide an explanation for WHY the protagonist does the things he does, it won't change that he's still a bad person for doing them in the first place.
In a game revolving around a fetish like mind control, it's best to not think too hard about morality and instead just enjoy it. I've no delusions that mind control is a morally good thing, so I'm not going to bother justifying it.
Hopefully I can at least make the non-evil route protagonist less hateable.

the fact you're making the MC into his own character is pretty impressive, especially since they started out as just a vessel for us to play with the setting you've made. Though given your writing so far, go figure even the blank slate has some hidden depths. No good route is alright I suppose just the "not as evil" is enough
Personally the line I come up with for why he's trying to fix them while having sex is something along the lines of "they're my toys, and why would I want a broken plaything?"
Honestly as long as you don't force us to be outright sadistic (which is what the pure evil route is for) I got no qualms about being the villain. who cares what they wanted, I'm gonna bang half the town, and if i'm taking half the town for myself might as well get girls that function properly (and if i wanted mindless drones I'd go somewhere else)

it is REALLY good that you are able to make that distinction, it feels like the bare minimum, but the amount of time's ive seen media where the protagonist actively fucking does bad shit but is still written like he's "the good guy" is staggering.
