Have you installed the hotfixes?
They should fix this issue.

well for one the chemical makeup is like apples to carrots, to say nothing of how the magical side differs
and for two, MC was trying to spread himself into the lake, so he might've loosened up too much (or however he keeps himself together). but hey that's just my guess of what happened
