Because I have been playing this game for 12 hours and I still can't find the village on the 2nd layer like I lost a fight and suddenly got there after that idk how to get back there.

Did she die? She need to die to acquire the Archmage skill status.
Edit: DId you also buy all of her spells? I think you also need to learn every single spell in the game or at least her spells then kill her in combat to get the title.

I wouldn’t know if that’s necessary or not, since it was a playthrough with everything I already had. But one thing is certain: your magic level has to be high, around rank S, and your alignment must be Chaos. She has to challenge you and you have to defeat her; she dies, and if you go to her sister afterward, I think she gives you resistance to darkness. Your Chaos level needs to be something like 90% or higher to obtain Archmage.

I didn't get any status at all. I'm beginning to think the previous person is mistaken on getting Femme Fatale from beating the witch. Searching the thread tells you that you get Femme Fatale by encouraging Max to steal.

I might have make a mistake with Femme Fatale yeah. Maybe it was just the Femme Fatale skill being triggered. Sorry about that

i got to 2nd floor at level 120 after 15 hours of this game,
probably best endings this shit have to offer to be honest, so far only small wins give me joy
but even they had to be paid with mountain of save+reloads

i hate it, its not awful or even bad, but thats also part of the problem
there is so many competent RPGs out there, but they are designed by masochists who simply endure way more abuse

it gives me "undefined" error and when i switch plugin it give me red error

Well well, cheaters have truly forgotten how to play games properly.
I've already played 32 hours. Many mysteries remain unsolved. Completed a playthrough as the Knight, defeated the final boss. Now I'm playing as Prayer, all the classes are interesting. But it seems the developer has not finished, many mechanics feel underdeveloped.

Well well, cheaters have truly forgotten how to play games properly.
I've already played 32 hours. Many mysteries remain unsolved. Completed a playthrough as the Knight, defeated the final boss. Now I'm playing as Prayer, all the classes are interesting. But it seems the developer has not finished, many mechanics feel underdeveloped.

this game doesn't have classes
you just hope whatever golem of stats you end up doing will be good enough to progress comfortably (it will not, i m level 200 still in 1st* playthru)

I just wing it in my chaos slut mage run and just get the title near in the end of the run.
Kind of still hard to gauge yeah I think the requirements are now a bit solid to get the Archmage title/skill status.
1. High Chaos(?)
2. Learn every possible magic on Carmilla and maybe other ones that aren't in her inventory
3. INT going around S rank(70)
4. Carmilla initiate a dialogue of duel to death via learning Ancient Script Analysis
5. Acquire the Staff of Io(?)

I'll test it in a fresh new game+ if its possible to get it even with few of the requirements
Edit: I get the Archmage in a fresh NG+ with fair amount of Chaos around 80%, I think the key points are:
1. Learn all of the Spells she have.
2. Learn Ancient Script Analysis and have her initiate the duel.

What is the memo we get from the Dog in Shrine Maiden Village for? It shows arrows indicating sequence how to get access to hidden area I presume (it shows arrows (up, down, right, down as I recall). I thought it tells you which paths to take in Hidden Forest, but it leads me nowhere or I am doing something wrong.



Don't you unlock the doors with the ring you get from Hilda in Shrine Maiden Village? I think you need to max her relationship as well (get her to the point when she disappears from the Chapel and leaves you a letter after you give her potion made of Fragranced Amaryllis and Purified Seed (potion you get from the potion clerk after you bring the ingredients)).

5th Layer is pass the mining area in either Slave Tower from the 3rd Layer City of Exiles or 4th Layer pass Cathedral>Regular Mining Area behind a locked door that requires DEX 35+.

I know where the door in the lava area is, but it is locked and wont open.
(i figured out i just had to give hilda some more flowers, although after healing her, i have to find her at the shrine maiden village, which is a point of no return? still no clue if anything is related)
