VN - Ren'Py - Unleashed [v0.7.0b] [CarbonBlue]

*Played the 0.3.1 version*
Not a lot of content for now but I'll keep a watch on this one, has potential.
Models and renders look good, but the isn't a lot of story for now.
A lot of choices that for now don't do anything (a couple ones give you more images) they'll probably add stuff later

Humour, good story, characters with personality, and the renders are not the tipical ones.

At the moment, few erotic material. Correction. Not few. Just the amount that the story can hold without going to "suspension of disbelieve". Few in comparison with other games. Fine to me.

Only "but", it´s short. But we can hope this will be mitigated with sucesive updates

Really high quality stuff. Each character feels like a distinct, separate person, with great dialogue. I find the music in the opening screen and in general also done rather well. Lots of sexy poses in the scenes for the ladies, a lot of effort has gone into that.

My only criticism would be a few of the night scenes were just a little too dark for me.

Ok so here i am with the edited version of my previous review,
As a rule i think every game and every dev deserves the benefit of the doubt which is why my previous review painted picture in a very different color then what it is now, at the start the story showed promise (it still does to certain degree but depends on if the Dev can bring out the potential)
The time needed for each update may differ between devs depending on certain variables such as (real life problems, the rig they use, their skill , etc) and each of these may have direct influence in the game itself. With that said :
The renders decreased in quality overtime, the clipping, the background scenery, lighting dropped in quality in a way that is obvious.
Story which i mentioned might be the best part became a random and erratic i still have high hopes for a come back though but we shall see.
These are really the two most important aspects we can review a game on (specially a Visual Novel) and although i am hopeful i will also be objective and say that this sharp decline in overall quality is not a good look on the game.

This game has some of the best comedic writing I've seen in one of these games, it actually made me laugh on multiple occasions. The characters are fun, and the renders are not half bad either. I can't wait for more updates.

Just finished playing 0.3.1 and I was very impressed. Render quality is quite commendable and got better as the game progressed. The dialogue was punchy and fun. And as a developer who has seen many of these assets used before, I found the meta humor to be particularly funny.

The models are excellent and the story is moving along at a the perfect pace. Definitely look forward to more in the future.

wonderfully animated and truly engaging story and characters. Creates an atmosphere that pulls me in enough to almost forget i came to get jiggy with it, but got wrapped up in the story instead! its hard not to check back daily hoping for the next update on something so good.

good points :
1. great character inter-relationships , conversations etc.
2. nice character renders
3. story line is pretty good so far , i just hope this continues .. as some stories change midway thru ,, and makes me think WTF ?
4. i give this game and A+ for playability
5. i haven't played a game that has such interaction between characters ,, then again i haven't played a ton of these types of game , but i think my fair share

The story is quite good and really funny, each characters’ model are unique, It’s not some prefabricated or reused model et the render's quality is awesome.

Oh and all hail Shannon, the crazy ginger goddess. She is worth the wait.

Short but refreshing

The characters are quite original and open minded.
The dialogues are fun, even a bit crazy, but in a nice way
The pace is pretty good, no much waste of time
The atmosphere is a bit special, the story so far is still unclear
The 4 main girls will become rivals that want to snatch the MC and you can cleary see that they have their ass in between 2 chairs, and that the jealousy could really grow into something nasty...or not

Anyway it was a bit short for a 0.3, unperfect, but it is fun and I enjoyed it a lot. Give it a try

As it stands with the lack of animations and a burgeoning narrative, I'll hold off on going any higher than 4 stars. It's definitely above average, but let's call it more of a 7-7.5 than an 8/10.

Girls are sexy and unique. Characters and their dispositions and behavior are also pretty well defined at this point and each girl has her own quirks and hangups that make them interesting.

Dev/writer uses the two bright haired girls as comedic relief, and actually manages to make it humorous and fun without feeling forced or (*cringe) cringey, which definitely sets it apart from the vast majority of other VNs .

Story is like the rest so far, good but not really great. This update leaves us at a fairly interesting cliffhanger, but nothing has really escaped the realm of what you would expect from an incest/harem vn. The story serves its purpose and it doesn't get in the way, which is in most cases preferable unless the writer can really come up with something original and well thought out (which is incredibly hard).

Unleashed is still early on in development, but it is showing real promise. I'm really enjoying the interesting story that has developed so far. Looking forward to where it goes from here.
Also, "Harley Quinn" girl is best girl!

Nice plotline, great humour and beautiful designs so far. Also liked the way the scenes were done, good combination of animations, lighting and music.I saw others commenting about the odd transitions between scenes but I actually liked that about them, it gave a sort of comedic effect.
I'm really looking forward to future updates of this game.

Definitively a good game. The woman are beautiful. The humor is good. I enjoyed every minutes of this early game.

The conversation between the Red head woman and Angel are often hilarious.

I want and will wait for more.

Congratulation for this VERY GOOD START

Yet another excellent game to come out in 2019...

Great renders, great story with really interesting characters.
The game has some really funny moments, and the red hair daughter is just too cute and seriously scary at the same time.

There's the super hot mom whom you like from the start. The hot blonde socialite type daughter who is probably going to be MC's first Li, will have to see and lastly the rebel pink haired hottie.

All this with some humorous lines makes for a seriously enjoyable great game that will have you captivated. Problem is the updates come out too slowly (actually their timing is perfect ) it's just that its' so good you don't want to wait.

If you like humour, romance and super interesting characters then seriously play this.

At the first glance I thought this would be another "stay in your parent's friend's house and seduce her and her two daughters" cliche, maybe even a "one daughter cute and shy, the other arrogant and bitchy" one.
I was utterly wrong.

Pros:
Top-notch Writing. It's actually fun and enjoyable to read. Vivid and elaborate character depiction. There aren't many games where I actually find the girls attractive in personality, and this is one of the most. Arguably one of the most brilliantly written VN in this site.
Even if Ren'py VNs are like powerpoint, this game truly explores the cinematic potential of the form of presentation. Don't want to spoil it. Play the game and you know what I'm talking about.
The sex animation is actually pretty good.

Cons:
Too short as of V0.3.1. Only one sex scene at the moment.
Low resolution pictures, likely due to the author not having a good enough PC.

Doesn't deserve a 5-star review at this stage, but still give one due to a LOT of potential it's showing.

Well let's start by stating that the amount of fappable material in v0.3 is the only thing I can bring myself to criticise in the game.

But that is no reason not to play the game this early in its development! 4 wildly different and original characters that for the moment seem to allow for quite a lot of growth in the future. They work very well together and make me want to see how CarbonBlue will make them evolve.
And the main reason I didn't hesitate for even a second to give this 5 stars is that it is VERY FUNNY and well written, as well as having good graphics!
If you like lightly dark humour and self-irony you will hopefully laugh as loudly as I have! This game is fun!

Lovable and beautiful characters, good story so far. The jumpcuts between scenes are a bit jarring, I would like some fadeaways instead of them, but other than tath It is a great game so far. I'm hopeing for this kind of quality in future updates.

REVIEW FOR VERSION 0.3.1

Looking at reviews, I had a high expectations going in and wasn't disappointed a single bit. I was hoping for a little more content, but hey, don't we wish that for every game. All the girls are very quirky and fun that it's hard to pick out who I liked the most. I'm personally more into mature women so I'll probably say Olivia. The choice at end seemed really huge and it personally felt good to say No (of course after saying yes and reloading the save). The only reason I have given this game a four star is because the MC is almost non existent. He barely has any dialogue and doesn't stand out. Even though the premise isn't something new, the game itself is a breath of fresh air. Having played over 100+ titles in this site, it didn't feel like it was just doing what other games were doing. This game has real potential to be one of the best in this site.

God Damn this game is amazing in every way and I have played many.
I am convinced this game was made for me

The girls are stunning with cool unique attitudes and am looking forward to finding out more about each
The Visuals and Scenes are amazing
The story is well written and quite funny in its own way without overdoing it.

I am really looking forward to what comes next it really was an enjoyable experience and was only the second game I rated out of many since I joined the forum a long time back.
